Our dr pk roberts! the queen of “fantastic living”
one of our holiday spirit leaders for moms ❤️ also, the woman i lived with post divorce for the first several months. a retired army chaplin who is all about living, creating and embodying joy!
there was this moment...where i was swallowing my own bitter post divorce pills.
she texts me “where are you?”
i text back “i’m hiding out back cause i’m crying. be right in” as i prefer to handle my yuck on my own.
next thing i know...there she is...
i thought “oh no. “not this.” not a person seeing me a hot mess! #grettagarbo
and then she goes and does it! she extends her arms and wraps me in them. it felt like i was being swallowed up by these huge angelic wings. 😇 #healed
lots of love given to me between her, her amazing daughter and her adorable grand babies. we laughed. we cried. we prayed. we sang. we danced and we learned a lot from each other.
in this video she’s letting moms know the power of rest. #queen#fantastic#living#godlywoman#mom#stepmom#dad#stepdad#letgo#rest#loveaffairwiththyself#womeninstepfamilies#angelwings#divorce#coparenting#holiday#coming
Happy birthday to my dearest mummy in the lord dr pastor becky enenche. your life is an inspiration and blessing to me. the lord continue to bless you generationally on every side in jesus name! #womanofgod#virtouswoman#womanoffaith#godlywoman
When i got married two years ago, i exchanged my old last name for a new name. i spent 24 years of my life going by one name to suddenly have a new name, new part to my identity. it was hard to remember to look up or respond when people used my new name and sometimes i caught myself signing my old name. sometimes i still accidentally sign with my old last name! but i do have my new last name, even when i forget to act like it. same is true for when we become christians, we had the name of “sinner” for years and suddenly when we ask god unto our hearts, the bible says we are given new names:
heir of the promises
more than a conqueror
child of god.
you can still sin and have sin in your life but not be a sinner. just like you can have fingernails yet not be a finger nail. or you can eat tacos but not be a taco.
jesus’ finished work on the cross was powerful! he took our fifthy sin and made us white as snow. if you think your sin is powerful enough to dirty up that white as snow garment he gifted you with, that’s like saying your sin is more powerful than his work on the cross.
remind yourself today to see yourself as a person with a new name, new identity. satan wants you to see yourself still as a sinner but god wants you to see yourself as redeemed. to know when god looks at you, he sees jesus’ perfect covering on you. you aren’t perfect yet because of christ, god still sees you as perfectly righteous! 2 corinthians 2:51 “god made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of god.” in him, that means not because of our own perfect doing but because of his we are made right before god! 2 corinthians 2:15 “we are the aroma of jesus to god.”
