Here it is... my kitchen makeover. what do you think? does it look any different? 😜
the cabinets were refinished in sherwin williams emerald urethane enamel. the upper were painted in extra white, and the lower cabinets in a colour match of sherwin williams hgtv jagged granite. the hardware was sprayed in gold from rust-oleum metallics. i painted the backsplash in sw extra white and sealed with gloss varathane.
what a transformation! it is so bright and airy, and looks like a brand new kitchen.
Sometimes you are called to be the sunshine in someone’s cloudy day. life is about human interaction and helping each other when needed. if your neighbor is having a gray day, don’t be afraid to shine positivity their way. #officialvision
It’s been a hard week for a number of reasons. feeling pretty depleted. and have gotten a couple comments from friends who i love and who meant well, but asked if i felt embarrassed, or that they loved my dark hair and why would i want to change?
this process is vulnerable and full of lots of emotions. what frustrates me is if i was a man, no one would make these comments to me.
why do we not allow women to age? and why is silver hair synonymous with undesirable? we can dye our roots, get botox, get lifts, but that doesn’t change the fact that we age. and isn’t aging a freaking blessing!? there are many who never made it to 36. each year on this earth was never promised to me and why wouldn’t i be so thankful for aging?
i had a moment of “gosh, maybe i should just dye” this week. i’m so young, i can start again in my 40s!
but no, i have to see this through. i’m guessing you’ve had these same thoughts?! i’m proud of us for sticking to what we know in our hearts to be right and true. .
i think your silvers are stunning. and what a blessing for each day and each year older we get to grow!
