Often there's a secret courage hidden in the pocket of our deepest fears saying, “bring it on, motherfucker”.

her smile and her glowing happiness are two of the things i love about her most. especially when it involves the snow. to see the one you love revert to child-like wonder when it falls makes you warmer on the inside than the best cup of hot cocoa you could ever drink. *
the days aren’t always easy though. since her hysterectomy in 2016 we have had a slew of medical issues show up. one of the major things she has had to deal with has been endometriosis. it is debilitating. so much pain that she get doubled over, can’t stand, can’t walk, can’t carry a pack. we tried a treatment of a progesterone shot. it is a castration level used on men that are castrated. it worked to stop her ovaries from producing the endometriosis for about three months. but no studies have been fully conducted on how it overall affects women that receive it. while it eliminates the pain, it puts women into a chemically induced menopause (with all the joys that come with that) as well as having unknown effects because it is like a shotgun blast to the hormonal systems. the shot has worn off and now she is again having to deal with the pain, the nausea, and the bloating from the inflammation caused by the endometriosis. *
in spite of all this she is still the best person i know. always ready to try and get up the mountain, chase the sunrise, squeeze the fur babies, and tolerate my dumb ass. keep smilin’ babe... you’re strong, intelligent, sexy, and funny all wrapped up in one package. can’t wait for more snow with you. @ljcaseme#maine#justakidfrommaine#cfcwear#snow#wintercabin#endometriosis#endometriosisawareness#endowarrior#shesmyrocket#imhergroot#rocketandgrootoverrocksandroots#snowday#mainesnow#cabinstory#rurallife#hikeforeverything#iphonex#grrl#grrrlarmy
