at first when i was doing my weekly review of my goals i started making excuses for all of them that were unmet. each week i blame the busy-ness of life in order to justify all the unchecked boxes. yesterday, i was running through my list of usual excuses and i heard that voice in my head say "you can find time for the things that are important to you!" i realized that i have been spending wayyyy too much time on my phone. specifically, my personal social media. i recognized that it had a purpose. i yearn for connection but i was looking in the wrong place! i downloaded #appdetox and set up some rules for social media and a few other apps so i can take back control of my day! it is completely eye opening to see how many times i attempt to open these apps outside of my approved window! it also tracks app usage so you can see where you are spending your time!! step 1 to being more intentional....check!!! #beintentional#technologydetox#didireallytrytogetonfacebook12timesin2hours#realrelationships#connection#buildingacommunity#useyourmouth#haveconversations#socialmediadetox#health#wellness#selfcare
Everyone who knows me well, know the best place i destress is the museum. doesnt matter where or what kind, its relaxing atmosphere where you can take your time and explore history. the human rights museum is a bit of a heavier place to be as it touches on some devastating parts of our past, but its important to be educated and recognize that they happened.
it touches a lot on speaking up and being vocal about issues that are wrong and hurting others. a topic i've become very passionate about lately. how many great tragedies could have been avoided if more people spoke up? how many great accomplishments took place because there were people strong enough to do just that? its never too late to speak up and out. Happy sunday! when you quiet your mind, you hear yourself, you hear the nuggets the universe /god is telling you. when you're consistently listening to outer voices and always seeking out to ways to be "entertained" you miss out on conversations with your own soul and the nuggets from the universe. journaling, mirror conversation with the self and meditating are great starters. #quiet#peace#meditate#mindful#shutdownnegativethoughts#haveconversations#solitude is not synonyms of loneliness.
