Yesterday i realised why i couldn't relax on tripod headstand pose without stressing the shoulders and having a wrong position of the head! well, the top of my head is uneven, and i feel pain on the head and definitely feel unstable if i am putting all the body weight on it! so i tried folding my mat (a blanket or towel would work too) and i was perfectly fine! feeling light and stable! i am so happy! another pose that now i can master and work on upgrading 😜
pincha mayurasana is another inversion that sometimes i can perform greatly and sometimes i struggle with.... it is all based on fear vs confidence! i wanted to challenge myself so my back was facing the television ahahh, dealing with my fear to fall on my back.
for me it always comes to trust and mindful practice, to safely move my body towards slow transitions and challenges, to let me grow and learn.
i found the way to counterbalance my inversions hanging on the doorjamb! ahah! yay!
