In my before photos, i was too embarrassed to show my face because i was ashamed of how far i had let myself go. the left is at my unhealthiest, unhappiest, and heaviest. .
i had gained 20 pounds in grad school due to poor eating habits, not working out, and long and demanding hours. i was working full time (overtime almost every week) and i was at my unhappiest. i was in the deepest and darkest depression i have ever known. i took this picture in and i was determined to change forever. i swore that i would eat better and get back into my workout routine, even on my busiest days. .
i made a change for the better in december. i put myself and my health first. i decided that, no matter how hard it would be, that i would wake up hours before work and get a workout done. it was really difficult at first, but i was determined to change and improve myself. i was still in a dark depression at this time, but i forced myself out of bed and into my at-home gym (my living room or office). now that i have been doing this consistently for 7 months, i feel happier, stronger, and healthier than ever. i will never go back to my old ways. .
it was not easy whatsoever, but now i have set up an amazing routine for the rest of my life. i'm going to continue to put myself and my health first. i'm going to continue to spend an hour each morning to bettering myself mentally and physically. i'm going to do why i need to do to stay on track and to improve my health. .
