Did you know that before i was an acupuncturist i specialized in public speaking training? this is probably why i enjoy giving talks and educating large crowds! here’s a picture from my talk at this years @womenshow where we talked about everything women’s health, fertility and acupuncture based!
@megafood was kind enough to send me a care package, which included this amazing daily turmeric boost powder in it. i used up the whole container with my husband @fitcoachalexey and we couldn’t be happier with it. we are ordering another one as we speak! •
turmeric benefits are well known:

4. improves skin health
5. helps with pain management
6. prevents cancer
7. combats depression
8. treats diabetes
9. improves respiratory health
10. promotes gi health •
this specific formula by @megafood of daily turmeric is designed to help you bounce back faster from a workout! it tastes extremely pleasant, much better than straight up turmeric by itself. the formula includes a restorative combination of herbs and extracts, including: foodstate vitamin c, whole body recovery blend ( turmeric, holy basil, bioperine black pepper), tart cherry, black raspberry, wild blueberry, cranberry extracts, and whole oranges plus blueberry and cranberry antioxidants. •
we both felt and recovered much better. both of us got sick as well and we believe that we recovered much easier because of this formula (we haven’t changed anything else about our routine). •
i added this daily turmeric to heated up almond milk with espresso and stevia! it makes for a nice turmeric latte! •
Sometimes people tell me “ughh i just can’t find the motivation to workout/eat healthy”. well let me tell you something, it happens to me too!🤷🏻♀️ that’s where discipline comes in. .
discipline is doing what you have to do, in spite of what you want, for your own good. .
i find that when i’m disciplined and follow my routine suddenly motivation comes back because i’m seeing results. .
so, even if you don’t feel motivated to do what’s right, get up and do it becase discipline leads & motivation follows!💪🏼
happy monday you beautiful peeps! -tbb.⚖️👩🏻💕 #thebalancedbrunetteblog#thebalancedbrunettequotes
Ah-mezze-ing evening trying out @koochamezzebar - honestly haven’t stopped talking about it all day 😂 i messaged them yesterday evening hoping they did some gluten free options and it turns out that 16, yes 16, of their dishes are gluten free. the staff had wonderful knowledge of intolerances and talked me through their process in making some meals gluten free. great to know that inclusivity of different dietary requirements is high up their agenda. but you know what’s up top of that @koochamezzebar agenda? making awesome food! just look at the spread we had. i can’t even pick a fav as everything was delicious. they’ve secured their position as one of my fav spots in bristol/ever. thanks guys ❤️
This is one of the best kale salads i have ever made. the secret is to let the salad sit in the dressing for 15 to 25 minutes before you serve it. the lemon juice breaks down the kale leaves and makes them tender. the other tip is make the salad with tuscan kale (sometimes known as red russian or black kale). it is deeper in color and a more complex flavor.
1/2 cup extra v****n olive oil
1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
3 garlic cloves, mashed into a paste
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
pinch of red pepper flakes
2 bunches tuscan kale, ribs removed, leaves sliced into 1/4 inch shreds
1/2 cup finely grated parmigiano-reggiano cheese
2 tablespoons toasted sour dough bread crumbs (see note)
parmigiano-reggiano shavings for garnish
Simple meals are a fave~ but i do live for getting creative in the kitchen💕 pictured is a simple meal idea😉
black beans w turmeric, chili, thyme, garlic, cayenne pepper, cumin, allspice, & ginger powders
pinto beans w jalapeños, thyme, & turmeric
& can’t forget bae aka sriracha
have a lovely monday🌿💩
