I find it amazing when i hear elite level sporting teams do not incorporate deadlifts into their training program yet seem to have weekly hamstring injuries.
maybe it’s related or maybe coincidence.
when programming for club level sports participants or runners i always incorporate deadlifts into their training program in both strength and hypertrophy rep ranges.
the feedback i get is always an improvement in speed and better recovery ie less hamstring tightness or susceptibility to injury.
do you use any of these exercises in your training program?

Wonderful reading today from psalms 26 and my first5 study this morning! god calls us to people of integrity. he sent his only son to be the one and only perfect example of this. so that we may turn to him when our integrity is being challenged. trust in god, confide in him completely. be open, honest, transparent. because it is not of our power that we live with integrity, it is by the trust in and power of god’s spirit within us! .

Another pound down, getting closer to losing that stone.
this week was quite bad to be fair. so i'm happy that the bad weekend of buffet food and cake didn't ruin all the hard work through the week. i'm going to a hiit class wednesday night, so hopefully next week i'll see a bigger loss.

throwing it back to comp day, hands down one of the best moments of my life standing on that stage for the first time.
from bed bound to a bodybuilding stage. what a blessing. what a crazy journey life can be!
recently i've majorly got the prep bug. i just want to get back on that stage with all the lessons i learned through my first prep. and some new leg gains 😝🍖 currently i have too many work commitments to focus on to go through prep. after another health dip this year i have to put my energy in to building my business back up right now but i'm praying things fall in to place and i'm able to compete again next year.
bodybuilding is a wierd old sport. with the boom of ig fitness it's become a huge controversy. i'm never going to pretend this lifestyle is always healthy or that bodybuilding doesn't have it's flaws but for me the process of pushing yourself to the absolute limits physically and mentally is an incredible environment for personal growth.
i treasure the experience and hope i'm able to get back on on stage again in the not too distant future.
