don’t be h*****n yourself - it is so easy to fall into the comparison trap. but so what is best for you. if you only want to workout 1 day a week that is totally fine! don’t feel bad because someone you follow online works out 5 times a week. we are all different โœจ

Ah-mezze-ing evening trying out @koochamezzebar - honestly haven’t stopped talking about it all day ๐Ÿ˜‚ i messaged them yesterday evening hoping they did some gluten free options and it turns out that 16, yes 16, of their dishes are gluten free. the staff had wonderful knowledge of intolerances and talked me through their process in making some meals gluten free. great to know that inclusivity of different dietary requirements is high up their agenda. but you know what’s up top of that @koochamezzebar agenda? making awesome food! just look at the spread we had. i can’t even pick a fav as everything was delicious. they’ve secured their position as one of my fav spots in bristol/ever. thanks guys โค๏ธ

This is one of the best kale salads i have ever made. the secret is to let the salad sit in the dressing for 15 to 25 minutes before you serve it. the lemon juice breaks down the kale leaves and makes them tender. the other tip is make the salad with tuscan kale (sometimes known as red russian or black kale). it is deeper in color and a more complex flavor.
kale salad

1/2 cup extra v****n olive oil
1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
3 garlic cloves, mashed into a paste
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
pinch of red pepper flakes
2 bunches tuscan kale,ribs removed, leaves sliced into 1/4 inch shreds
1/2 cup finely grated parmigiano-reggiano cheese
2 tablespoons toasted sour dough bread crumbs (see note)
parmigiano-reggiano shavings for garnish

1. in a large salad bowl, whisk together the oil, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and red pepper flakes. add the kale and toss well to coat. let the salad sit at room temperature 15 to 25 minutes. add the grated cheese and bread crumbs and toss again.
2. garnish with the cheese shavings before serving. cover any leftovers and refrigerate up to 2 days.
note: i make my bread crumbs from bakery quality non gmo sourdough bread.
