Yesterday maya apologized for crying so much. she said “ i wish i could stop but i just can’t!” i said “maya cry away!” i’ve always been a crier. i feel god has gifted me with ~empathy~ for others. if it was a friend who’s heart was broken or for my children who’s feelings were hurt. i’ve always cried for them!any touchy-feely movies or special talk in church i can never, ever make it through without at least a handful of tissues! even in the midst of my depression from so many challenges & disappointments i cry! but i always know its a way for me to heal. honestly, crying is so good for us. crying is healthy! it’s a natural stress reliever for us to use. after hearing maya express the need to cry i realized this:
she can truly express how she feels in the very moment she’s feeling sad emotions with out stuffing them. and she trust herself enough to know how she feels & knowing she feels safe with out being judged or put down.
we all need to give ourselves grace. let our heart be filled with god’s love❤️ . let him see & hear our tears. because he will give us joy that only he can give. because we all are going through some heavy shizz in life right now so just cry😢! #staygentle#cryingisokay#healthyhealing#emotionsarereal#godloveseveryone#healthytears#youhavepermissiontocry
