They say you have been assigned this mountain to show others it can be moved. .
i know don't know who "they" are. i don't know why god has given me this path.
what i do know is what it feels like to have your entire world change in an instant. i know what it's like to feel the world is against you, to have zero confidence and no desire to get out of bed. to feel like you've lost your purpose.
more importantly though...i also know how it feels to muster up every single ounce of energy you can find...to get up, to move forward, to make a decision to keep going despite all that.
helping people get through these same things is helping me heal. inspiring people by getting up every darn day and taking care of myself is what gets me through the days.
life is guaranteed to not be easy...but when you have people in your corner, people who believe in you, it makes this not so easy life doable, and worth sticking around to find its purpose 💜

Doesn’t it make sense that when a structure is immobilized for prolonged periods of time, or “out of use” that we lose function in more places than one. after all, our bodies are kinetic chains; which is why it’s important to think what’s happening above and below the joint. 💭
sometimes our muscles protect and guard the area. instead, this hinders the healing process which is why i like to keep everything relaxed to a certain extent. 🌱

i love linking everything together. from a simple injury, connecting the dots to why the injury happened in the first place? are the hips off? is the gait biomechanically not functional? looking up and down and then back down again. ⛓ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
then providing a place that is safe, and relaxing for the patient to heal. creating an atmosphere that’s peaceful so they can get back to what they are meant to do... move 🧘🏻‍♀️#bodyandmind #healthyhealing #exerciseismedicine #kinesiology #athletictherapy #holistichealing #happymindhappybody #loveyourself #kinetics #meanttomove #kineticchain #interroseusrelease #massage #sportsmassage #relax #rejuvenate #biomechanics #healthylifestyle #getbackonyourfeet

✨on belonging✨
“belonging is the innate human desire to be part of something larger than us. because this yearning is so primal, we often try to acquire it by fitting in and by seeking approval, which are not only hollow substitutes for belonging, but often barriers to it. because true belonging only happens when we present our authentic, imperfect selves to the world, our sense of belonging can never be greater than our level of self-acceptance.” @brenebrown

Pregnancy/infant loss awareness•

hearing these words from a bereaved momma over the phone had me at painful loss of words yesterday.

she lost her sweet baby a few days before the due date last year. her whole world has been turned upside down and as the anniversary approaches, i knew it was going to get harder for her.
we talked about how she plans to spend the day. how she was positively going to remember her precious baby. :

you see, the first birthday of a living child is a big deal. parents tend to go all out and the whole first cake smashing thing. the little one is usually taking their first steps. it’s such a joyous celebration for the child’s first year with the family. :

when it comes to the bereaved parents; this day is equally as important. it’s a day that they are going through the raw emotions, the bitter sweet emotions. when they are reliving the day they lost their angel. it’s a very long and rough day. some have not dealt with the loss just yet and this day may be the day they face it head on. it may be the day they open up and begin the healing process. :

a lot of friends and family tend to ignore this day in hopes that the parents have moved on and forgotten. but the truth is they have not. just as other parents have been up with their toddler all year long; they have been up thinking about their precious baby. what life would have been like.
they need you today. it’s better to say something wrong than to say nothing at all on this day.
acknowledging their baby at this time is very important. they may want to pull away and crawl up into their emotions but this is the very time they need a friend the most. :
it’s important to love on these parents on this day especially the momma.
receiving a text message saying; thinking about you today. getting a phone call. bringing up their child’s name. these simple gestures are very important to a healthy healing journey.

The choices you make today create the future you will experience tomorrow.
just like the choices you made 6 months, 1yr or 5yrs ago that got you to where you are right now.
so if you want to experience a different life in the future in any aspect of your life, all you have to is start making different and hopefully better choices...

Transparency 🍁
hello all. i’m hoping that things are swell and holistic healing is happening in all areas.
if i can be fully transparent, things have been rough, but doable. i’m am here with a little truth for you. acclimating yourself to a new stage in life is difficult. it’s even harder when you don’t have the gift of multitasking. i hope it’s evident in my lack of post.
i’ve found that the hardest part of growth is when you stunt yourself of it. i haven’t been able to speak to this page because i uncommitted myself to doing the work. i haven’t been intentionally pushing myself to figure out what areas deserve more nurturing. then providing water and sunlight to those areas. i hadn’t journaled in a few weeks. journaling is like water to my growth. i need it to actually hear my intuition. so, i’ve been a little off.
here’s the lesson though. i’m here. i’m healthy. through the struggle. through the storm. i’m still here. and that’s power. if the storm is on you, use that power within you to stand up to the winds. today, i’m here giving some of my power to whoever may need it. whoever may not feel their own. i’m here sharing some of my own with you. continue to shine ✨

i love this. we as individuals all have our own facets of creativity. the process involves packaging up our trauma, finding what inspires us as a person, and using that package in a new way that let's us make trauma a part of us, but not possess all of us.

The longest run post digonisis and recovering from my stress fracture was yesterday. 😊
although i took my recovery very serious and slow....i feel like i can still (slowly) up my mileage to condition back into pre training mode for races.
i know some others with recovery issues from fractures trying to wait out their recovery time. while the wait is long, the wait will pass! better to wait than to hurt and not do what you enjoy! .
happy healing!
p.s super sweat session to start the week off felt great, but happy that some florida "cold fronts" are coming through this week.
