Autumn breakfast on point 🍂 carrot cake porridge is my favourite brekkie this time of year! it honestly tastes like carrot cake in a bowl 🥕 the warming spices of cinnamon, nutmeg & ginger are so comforting, the carrot boosts your vitamin levels and the oats will help keep you full & energised all morning 🙌🏻 it’s a total winner of a breakfast! i topped mine with pecans, pumpkin seeds & raisins for some added deliciousness 👌🏼🍁 •
ingredients • 50g oats • 200ml almond milk • 1 small carrot (grated) • 1 tsp ground cinnamon • 1/2 tsp ground ginger • pinch of nutmeg • 1 tsp vanilla extract • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (i used @missfitsnutrition as it’s the best ever) - optional!
1️⃣ start by adding the almond milk, oats, all the spices and the maple syrup/honey to a saucepan over a medium heat. gently cook for a few minutes, stirring regularly.
2️⃣ once your porridge has reach your desired consistency stir in the grated carrot and cook for a further minute or two just to allow the carrot to soften slightly.
3️⃣ stir in the protein powder now if using!
4️⃣ pour the porridge into a bowl, topping with anything you fancy 🧡

had a great mini break this weekend, but the real life hit me soo hard when i came back. wow.
our wifi went out at my house sunday night, so monday was 100% a catch up day! 🙃 but i got through it... somehow!! #caffine i realized was still recovering from my crazy monday this morning when i put my pants on inside out.... dysfunction at its finest!! #amiright 〰️〰️
but ya know!! i got my pants on the right way now and i’m ready to have a great tuesday!!! 😂 i wanted to say... just because you start your week rough doesn’t mean you have to end it that way. wake up with a new mindset and make each day better than the one before!!

my favourite thing to hear from clients is ‘weight really doesn’t matter 😱’ the realisation that muscle and f*t and bones and water weight are all so inconsistent and change every two seconds and so it is honestly the worst thing to agonise over or judge yourself by 🙏🏽💕
i find that once you starting weight lifting, you quickly switch into the happy mindset of wanting to gain weight because now more weight = more muscle gains 😏💪🏽 it’s all about perspective, so lets start being a little nicer to ourselves and understand that weight is not always a reflection of health! #transformationtuesday .

by the way, the smiling personal trainer on the sled is 185lbs, so i could pretty much challenge uber and take people places.😂😂
