Today’s lunch, thai salad 😋😛 for the salad i used kale, romaine, kelp noodles, red bell pepper and carrot. for the dressing i blended all of the following ingredients; 1/2 avocado, handful of cilantro, handful of basil, 2 garlic cloves, 1 jalapeño, tbs soy sauce, 2 tbs almond butter and 1 stock of spring onion. delicious!!
Happy h**p daaaay! we are half way through the week already. yeah.. i’m saying already haha. bc i’m going to be non stop busy for a whiiiile. so naturally, i am wishing i was on vacation again laying in this hammock on the beach. who wouldn’t, am i right?! ————————————————
so today marks the start of a busy busy life. work and school aaaand a little something something i am working on 😋 (announcement to come!). a couple years ago i would have never imagined myself doing what im doing, working, school, working on my body and health. i was lazzzzzy and never wanted to do anything. like for real, i wanted to lay in bed and binge tv and eat snack all day everyday. but when you get the mindset of doing things for yourself and your future, things come into perspective and you want to be better and do better! i didn’t want to be negative anymore, it was not a good way to live aaaaat all. making changes for myself and working on myself (guys this requires a little selfishness, but that’s okay!!!!) i just became a lot more happy over all. anyways, if your struggling take a step back and see what really matters & start to slowly make those changes! they all add up in the end 🤗
Sometimes you don’t have time or groceries to prep a nice homemade lunch... in those times it’s nice to have healthy(er) fast food options nearby! i used today as an opportunity to try @saladworks new bacon & blue salad (sub feta for blue cheese bc 🤢) and it’s so good! definitely outside of my normal salad tastes but really yummy. 🥗😋
Y'all know who it is!!! i'm the real f*ckin deal, yo boi @mastorful_fitness back and better than ever! i've been hitting the gym hard lately, doing some curls for the girls (that includes your girl, i know she wants me too), and the result have been showing!! with the new @apple measuring app, my biceps measured to be 8.5" from peak to base, and 40" in circumference! and i wasn't even flexing in the slightest!!!! super happy with my recent gains, and y'all are probably jealous about them to. don't worry, maybe one day you guys may be able to get to this level of physical perfection. the difference between me and you is that i'm never satisfied with my gains, i'm always hungry for more!!! this isn't even my final form! #stayhungry#curlsfordays#biceppeakonfleek

this morning my fridge-sitch was quite limited lol 😭
i had almonds, sardines, coconut oil, old goat cheese, beets, 1 egg, coconut milk, bread, and oatmeal.
i was hungry, didn't want to eat out, but also didn't know what the heck to make.
so, i analyzed: "ok, what's gonna fill me up - aka not be too sugar-y because if it's just all white sugar/carbs i'll be hungry in 10 minutes and it's just gonna spike and crash my blood sugar and i don't want that....i wanted to create a quick meal that had a nice balance of healthy carbs and fats - so...
i ended up going with oatmeal (whole oats), 1 cup coconut milk, 1/2 cup of almonds and 1 tsp of cinnamon on top. why?
the oatmeal provides some carb/glucose aka energy, the coconut milk and the almonds provided me with some healthy fats to fill me up and blunt any blood sugar rise (from the oats) and the tsp of cinnamon acted as an extra blood sugar support mechanism (regular use of cinnamon has been shown to help blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetics aka those who experience insulin resistance). i was satiated and felt full for ~3 hours. mission accomplished!
