“i took this job when my dad retired...but the funny thing was he always wanted sons, right? one to run his machine shop, and the other to be middle-weight boxing champion! but, he got my sister and me instead...she's 24 and 0 with a shot at the title next month...anyway, i'm saving up so my papí and i can open another shop.” -audrey ramirez
love this quote from atlantis because ... bad a$$ women am i right?!

A few days have passed since the end of latinx heritage month but i could not hold off on sharing some of the raw, true-life experiences that i have personally encountered when working with hispanic/latinx families.
some tough cases i will never forget:

#fridakahlo vibes. we are loving trying on different #halloween costumes for fun and learning about history. these two tiny #latinas really captured the iconic look. isabella says it was easy because her eyebrows match frida. 🤣 #unibrow but in all seriousness, i’ve always encouraged her to embrace her looks, including her beautiful unibrow.

Double tap to show me some love! 🥰♥
i am a little late to this post, but not too late to tell you how much i love using @nearpod !! ❤
i created these slides in the same software very fast and i have been using it for the third year!!🇵🇪❤🤍❤
i originally created it because i taught after school clubs at my school. i would teach them spanish and we would also learn from a specific country and cook a typical simple dish or entry every week!
i always started with perú because i love my country! 🥰🥳🤩
this year we didn’t have clubs for the obvious reasons, so i knew i needed it the best excuse to still teach about perú!🇵🇪🇵🇪
on the last day of celebrating hispanic heritage month, i grabbed my @nearpod lesson and we also cooked! (i have a reel for that if you want to check it out!!)
did i mention that you can also embed the nearpod links to seesaw?! 🥳🤩
stick around with me, i am always posting ideas and tricks in my stories! 🤩🤪🥰
have an amazing monday my friends!!

🤩🙏🏼 animó y feliz semana para todos! 👍🏼👏🏼💪🏼 #repost@patriciosilvac
