Back then i used to hide behind clothes. yu can see my bra poking out because the shirt was way too big 🤦🏼♀️. i wouldn't get on the floor to play because i was afraid of my rolls going over my pants. i wouldn't get in pictures because of the harsh reality that i couldn't stand looking at myself. 😭
sure i was a new mom. with a new business ( hey to my daycare moms 👋🏻). getting to develop new friendships. working on a new degree #sciencenerd . that list of excuses goes on and on. 😫
yes, those were all super important things in my life. but they were never reasons not to focus on myself. 🤷🏼♀️ when you stop worrying about yourself and give to everyone else, you lose yourself. you forget who you are. you stop feeling confident and believing in your own capabilities.

Sooo, i may have been so excited to back in some sunshine today that i forgot that it burns when you stay in it too long 🤦♀️ that sun really had some heat in it this morning!
anywho; upon getting home tonight i realised i'd done quite a decent job of getting burnt.....oops!
so, of course i went straight to my oil box and whipped up a killer combo to put on it. 🌿peppermint: to help cooling the area down and take the heat and 'hot feeling'out of it.
💜lavender: because it is the absolute go-to for all kinds of burns, or any skin issue. this will help to soothe the sore inflamed skin and support it to heal.
🤴frankincense: because frankie is the king and is super for inflammation and skin healing.
i just threw a few drops of each of these in a little bit of coconut oil and rubbed it in. will continue to do this a few times a a day until it's all healed up 👌
god i love having these oils and being able to support every little issue that pops up in day to day life with a natural solution that's good for your body.

Grabbed myself some of these to brighten my day after the hardest few weeks both physically and emotionally. ive had severe insomnia (like, only sleeping 2 hrs every few days) and trying everything under the sun to sleep - its created undescribable anxiety which in turn feeds the insomnia. any tips for insomnia or anxiety? (ive tried acupuncture, massage, natural herbs, breathing, meditation, yoga, tea, reading, no tv etc 2 hrs prior..... you name it...) needing a quick recovery as my clinical assessment is next week #insomnia#nursingstudent .

Day 22!! alright so i’m sure some of you have known about these products for days but i am learning a lot about new products i absolutely love!! breakfast today i tried half of this mango @co_yo_usa flavor. now my taste buds may have changed, but while it was sweet and delicious, my preference is the plain flavor.
i’m finding that i’m craving more salt or savory flavors. i will definitely make sure i’m keeping my electrolytes balanced (listen to cues from your body). but these sea salt and vinegar plantain chips are amazing!!! while i was doing a training and not getting enough time to eat my lunch (hey when you have people coming to ask for help at work and you’re extremely busy that’s a good thing in my book) i was happy to have these on hand during my break and was surprised that they have a potato chip taste without all the bad oils. @barnana is going to be another one of my travel snacks that i’ll be taking with me on future work trips.
for dinner it was a look at what’s been sitting in the fridge and needs to be cooked quickly. one zucchini, some leftover red cabbage, a little ginger, a shallot, and some white onions made for a delicious “leftover stir fry.” i also took to a little experimentation and added a little coconut flour to my raw chicken and it added a nice little sear to the chicken.
