i’ve always been passionate about food and cooking making and creating recipes that are free of added sugars and other less than healthy ingredients has lit a new fire for me! i love that you can still have fun with healthy food too - like these dairy free, gluten free, refined sugar free waffles jammed packed with superfoods ✌🏻 seriously what’s better than that?? don’t say avocado...i’ve already consider that answer and i’m conflicted 🤫🤫

since seeing @thepurelife_ delicious ramen bowl yesterday, ramen has all i’ve seen, every time i close me eyes, in shop windows as i pass by, every song reminds me of....okkkkk awkward 😅
i’ve had @lotusfoods gluten free millet and brown rice ramen noodles is my cupboard waiting for this very moment so i made a variation of @thepurelife_ recipe (check her page out for the lovely plant based version!) 🌱
1 tbsp avo oil @chosenfoods
1/2 tsp minced garlic
1/4 tsp grated ginger
heated in a pan
add 2 small heads of baby bok choy and sauté with a touch of sriracha
add 3 cups of water mixed with @organikahealth ginger bone broth (or water of chicken broth if you don’t have)
2 tbsp @amano_foods shiro miso
1 tbsp of tamari
allow to simmer, add @lotusfoods ramen noodles and continue to simmer on lower for 5 mins approx for noodles to soften
i topped mine with a soft boiled egg, shimeji mushroom and micro greens 🌱

to me a fridge clean out always presents a good opportunity for soup and this thick purée soup is all things warm and cozy while i wait for my deliver!
butternut squash leek & persimmon soup
with ginger bone broth @organikahealth to keep that gut health going and immune system in check ✊🏻 ..
1 butternut squash peeled, seeded and cubed
3 persimmons peeled, cubed
2 leeks well wash and chopped into large pieces
i baked them all on a pan lined with parchment and drizzled with s&p and avo oil @chosenfoods until fully cooked and finished in my @vitamix on the soup preset with 3/4 can of coconut milk, 2 scoops of @organikahealth ginger bone broth mixed in 2 cups of water, 1 tbsp minced garlic, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 cumin, 1/4 paprika
you may want to add more water to your depending on your preference and blend
served with @sigdalbakeriusa spelt & pumpkin seed crisps

hi, i'm hannah. pleasure to meet you! 👋i'm 25 years old, grew up in socal (and still live here), and i'm wildly passionate about food. good food, nutrient-dense food, plant food (otherwise known and rabbit food, which i'm totally ok with) and most importantly, sharing food... with the ones your love, and the ones you want to learn more about. i think one of the best opportunities to truly "get to know" someone is by sharing a meal with them, intentionally listening to their stories, sharing yours, and connecting while breaking bread (or a gluten free rice cracker). i think my favorite part about this is realizing how exchanging words and sentiments actually fills you up more than food does. this is how you really nourish your body, in my opinion👌
when i'm not consuming or talking about plants, you can almost always find me planting them, or running & hiking through them. otherwise, you'll find me on my yoga mat 🙏🏻
i'm obsessed with ceramics and stoneware, my two favorite kitchen appliances are my vitamix and chef's knife, my metal of choice is sterling silver, and i am a proud over-user of puns and alliteration. i'm also an open book, and would love for you to ask me anything, seriously. i will always give you an honest answer, and i will always speak from my heart ❤️ 📖.

Breathe... just breathe!
these words were gifted to me this morning after having my first panic attack in a while 🙏💜
in the spring of 2016 my nervous system endured 2 mental/nervous breakdowns... something that many people can fully relate too and not something that i would wish on anyone!
for 4 months i had multiple panic attacks daily, was out of commission for about 7 months. i also got really comfortable crying 24/7 in front of everyone!
i was told my nervous system would be overstimulated for about 5 years and that the type a lifestyle i had been taught/living would no longer to be my norm if i wanted to heal my mental health and nerves
in the fall of 2016 i finally figured out after 29 years; that i share a vessel with high functioning anxiety which comes with social anxiety, chronic depression, adhd, ptsd. i was offered several prescriptions however at this point i knew how much i had already healed with a holistic approach in my weight loss journey.. why not apply it to my mental health!
i had a yoga practice, eating cleanly and was then introduced to doterra essential oils! these are 100% pure certified pure therapeutic/tested grade oils that are full of healing magic 💫
i was first offered a sample of arborvitae. a wonderful oil that helps with anxiety, heavy chest, hyperventilating, shortness of breathe, crying and i discover immediately must be in every panic attack first aid kit!
placing a drop in my palms, cupping my nose and taking ujjayi style breathes.
within seconds the weight of my chest is loosened.
the lead like feeling in my muscles slowly lifts.
and my breathe smoothes out to a 3-4 second breathe within 10 mins
i had a panic attack this morning after realizing all of the good i have in this moment, how many wonderful people i have around me all while fearing if it’s to good to be true. my nervous system is learning to understand the different feeling of being overwhelmed and has come a long way in 2 years!! 🙏

Savory saturday lunches for the win! 🤸🏼♀️ crispy halibut: heat a skillet on medium heat. melt @fourthandheart california garlic ghee and sear the halibut for 3-4 minutes on each side, flipping only once. sprinkle with s＋p, to taste, and squeeze lemon over. fresh greens: butter lettuce ＋ watermelon radish with toasted sesame oil, vinegar, red pepper flakes, black sesame and s＋p. this “hippie” remedy took me from a “i can’t open my eyes it hurts so bad, the sound of ice in my water bottle makes me want to scream, cover all the windows, wrap a towel around my eyes. someone please take greyson upstairs.” kind of migraine (along with my nasty cough, crazy congestion, intense body aches, and 100-102 fever) to “hey, i can get down and play with greyson again! i can walk upstairs and get food for myself. i can even put on a movie and uncover some windows to let light in!” in less than 24 hours and then to “i feel okay enough to leave the house for a little while but i’m still contagious so this sucks. movie day and indoor activities it shall be!” in less than 48 hours.
moral of the story: our bodies can do so much when we give them the right tools! god didn’t make us this way by accident. every little thing was by a very specific design. tap into that and watch your body thrive! • • • • • • •
