This is my ✨miracle ✨ plant. 🌱
when i first moved to houston, i had lovely garden of over 300 succulents. (it was an obsession, i confess.) however they didn't handle the move well and began dying one by one in spite of my efforts. i had a few plants remaining, but when the hurricane hit, they were submerged underwater for two weeks straight. with all the devastation, losing my silly garden was no concern to me. 🌊
there's no way they'd survive, but somehow this little guy survived the 6 foot waters and sweeping currents!
i have no idea.
i have 299 less, but my garden is still here. ❤️
what should i name this lil guy?
Meet nylah! we will be assisting nylah and her family next weekend in houston! nylah has kidney disease - this picture was from her hospital stay just last week. she has an 1 year old brother and her mom is due to have a baby in november. her mom says, “we lost everything. the hardest setback is making sure we have clothes, shoes, and food on the table for our children. my husband works, but we are staying at a hotel an hour away from his job. we are struggling to stay afloat.” if you are able, please donate to help this family get back on their feet. be a light! #lighthouseinhouston
