smith machine front squats are my favorite for outer quad sweep because keeping your hips directly under your torso with your back straight (keeping your torso e***t is very important) and feet shoulder width and straight allows you to activate higher up on the outer quad right into the insertion at the hip. shifting your hips back minimizes that and brings the glutes in. the smith machine also stabilizes the bar more instead of using your lower back and worrying about the bar rolling off of your shoulders. keep your elbows up. never drop them. to really allow your focus to be on the exercise and not worry about the bar or the smith machine hitting the racks, have someone hold the hook of the smith machine. i only go to parallel and come up 3/4 of the way to keep constant tension on the quads. thank you @ngwailunsam 💪🏾 #bodybuilding#legday#legworkout#ifbb#npc#squats@international_protein #repost@ngwailunsam (@get_repost )
