✨ 5 tips to increase your energy naturally 💕👇🏼.

shared these 5 tips on youtube last week in my new mind, body & soul series & this week i’m really taking my own advice to get my energy flowing back up now that the time of the month has come 😅 (i know you ladies can relate) & i am finally feeling human again 🙌🏼.

here are the 5 ways i increase my energy naturally (aka raise my vibe) which really plays such a huge role in everything else we focus on + attract:.

1️⃣eat more nutrient dense foods & cut out the junk! - what you eat affects your mood, energy + vibe... everything! supplement correctly as well to fill in gaps in your nutrition. •
2️⃣move your body - we “create” energy through movement! - if you want more energy you need to create a more active lifestyle.

3️⃣create a high vibe morning routine - take time to center yourself, breathe, meditate, journal and set your intentions for how you want the day to go.

4️⃣surround yourself with positive people +situations - your environment either lifts you up or drains you.

5️⃣cut the stress + do what you love - a lot of our energy gets depleted by doing things that are not in true alignment with us which creates stress! focus on doing more of what you love (this is huge!).

Here’s a challenge: i’m guessing that there are things in your life that you don’t like, some will be things that you can just let go, but some, like your job, are things that, for the time being, you have to just get on with. it’s so easy to get into a low energy state of loathing and resentment, but how about identifying just one thing or one person that makes it bearable and focusing on your gratitude for that? then you can go further and let that gratitude spread to a love for what you are doing even though you know that it’s not your true purpose. this isn’t just silly or naive, it puts you in a position to act. you can act to enjoy your life, but the higher energy out of which you are operating makes it easier to make the changes you need. go on, give it a go...! happy wednesday! .

I’m no where near where i used to be & i’m accepting the fact that my lumps & bumps are going to be a little harder to get rid of. but with hard work, persistence & perseverance we can all strive towards a better version of ourselves! 💪

Pre-workout supplements.

i used to take a boatload of pre-workout supplements in my teen years before every workout because i wanted to be fully amped and aggressive to make sure i did not miss that personal best. however, it messed with my sleep, caused some digestive issues while training, and i would have a terrible "crash" sensation after the workout. instead of feeling energized for the rest of the day, i would feel useless.

my training has changed since then and i prefer to train with a calm but focused mindset. that's why i just have green tea before every workout.

pre-workouts are full of stimulants like caffeine and beta-alanine designed to boost your energy levels, endurance, and focus. they definetly work, and can be useful for someone with a physical job who needs a "kick" before they head to the gym. also you may be running on no sleep, so it can assist you with getting through your workout. you may be training on an empty stomach in the morning and need something to fuel you.

pre-workout is not intended for people with high stress levels because the stimulants in the pre-workout will only elevate your already increased cortisol levels. super high cortisol levels is linked with trouble losing weight and actually gaining body fat. pre-workouts may also not sit well with you in your stomach.

here's what i recommend:
▪get a good night's sleep
▪have a meal of meat and white rice or lentils and sweet potatoes within 1 hour before the workout
▪have tea or black coffee for something stronger with more caffeine
▪creatine monohydrate and bcaas will help with endurance and energy in the gym. i don't take them because my stomach is full from food and i don't want to end up vomiting after every exercise.

we let food control us. we use it to comfort us when we are stressed or low. we use it to treat ourselves when we have done well at something. we also use it as an incentive treat when we are doing something we particularly don’t want to do. it’s not surprising people are struggling to lose weight. 🍔
food controls you. we don’t like being controlled by people or maybe situations so why do we let food control us? when we let food control us, this is how we get health problems, lack energy and weight gain. we become low and once again turn to food to comfort us. it’s a viscous circle. 🥗
see if you can take control. set yourself a 21 day challenge of clean eating, no chocolate, crisps, fried food etc. see how you feel after 21 days. not only will you feel better...., but you will feel good for taking control 😊

5 ways to make mondays fun
1)  put your favorite tunes on and blast them while you are getting dressed. shake your groove thing! get your energy pumping.
2)  wear something colorful. stand out!
3)  listen to funny video’s at lunch. kat williams or the fruit cake lady, make me laugh, every time.
4)  prank call your bestie. disguise your voice and ask if she has pop in a bottle. (tee hee hee)
5)  make something fun for dinner. like, english muffin pizzas. a couple of pepperonis, a slice of green pepper and a black olive will create a happy pizza.
monday has gotten a bad rap. don’t set yourself up for a s****y day. instead, put a twist of fun into it. start the week off full of happiness and gratitude.
