Throwing it back to @lucacayman’s brunch last sunday. they may be a smaller brunch than most, but they utilize their space well. i’ve always considered them the “seafood brunch” because they offer so many options including a raw bar, ceviches, smoked salmon, tuna tataki, sushi and tartares. they of course have a limited breakfast section, but i tend to prefer their lunch options, which include a salad bar, gazpachos, cured meats & cheeses, a build-your-own-pasta station and their miniaturised mains (like the tender short rib with mashed potatoes🤤). don’t forget to visit the foyer of caribbean club and grab a few miniature dessert at the end (especially that crème brûlée)! with unlimited bubbles, attentive service and a stunning venue on 7 mile beach you can’t go wrong. #lucacayman#lucarestaurant#caymanislands#visitcaymanislands#caymanfoodies#caymanfood#caymanlife#brunch#brunchlife#islandlife#seafood#lovecayman#lovefood#feedfeed#islandepicurean#tbt
Throwing it back to last sunday when i visited @catchcayman’s incredible a la carte brunch. nothing beats sitting seaside on a shady deck (rain or shine) and having everything brought out to your table. a few months ago they scrapped the “tapas brunch menu” and are now fully a la carte with their food and drink offerings. the drinks include brunch specials on bottles of cava & wine, as well as cocktails like $5.50 aperol spritz, painkillers and mojitos. the plates are around $15-20 each, but they are seriously filling so you realistically need to order one to two plates max (or more if you’re like me!)
i came with plenty of belly room and fully took advantage of their menu. swipe across to check out the epicness:
1. their succulent lobster benedict on a cheddar bay biscuit.
2. a southern classic gets a caribbean twist with catch’s tender & spicy j**k chicken and sweet potato waffle served with fried onions, scallion butter and seasoning pepper maple syrup.
3. aperol spritz... need i say more.
4. their famous tasting plate consisting of the freshest tuna sashimi, tuna & wahoo tartare, wahoo ceviche & smoked wahoo crudo.
5. one of my favourite items on their menu in general - the smoked wahoo croquettes with tartar sauce.
6. the cayman style beef hoagie topped with pickled red cabbage, peppers, onions and a side of curly fries.
7. the lobster tostada with avocado coleslaw, jalapeño & lime crema on a crispy flour tortilla. *note that you get 2 per order, but i started to struggle so they brought us one 😂*
8. homemade s’mores bar served with a nutty peanut butter ice cream. sooooo good and i don’t even like peanut butter!
9. the fluffy mango skillet cake with local mango and vanilla ice cream on top.
10. a margarita to end it all because @cristin_bruts didn’t realise they are served on the rocks and not always blended 🙈. •

#tbt to a delicious meal at @gheemiami last week. i was incredibly excited to finally try @chefniven’s indian restaurant; so excited that i made this reservation 2 months ago 🤤 to help you understand how talented he and his team are you should note that they’ve only been open for a year and have already had tons of recognition, including being a semi-finalist with the @beardfoundation and were chosen by @eatermiami as “restaurant of the year” and chef niven was the reader’s choice for “chef of the year” 👏🏽 #slay •
now onto the food. honestly i ordered so much and it was all so incredible that i’ll let the pictures speak for themselves. the appetiser round included a fresh ‘yellowfin tuna bhel’ with avocado and puffed rice, ‘dahi vada’ lentil fritters in a yogurt sauce, ‘crispy cauliflower’ with paneer and pickled shiitakes in lettuce wraps and a rich ‘short rib dosa’. our main course included perfectly cooked and flavourful ‘chicken tikka masala’ and ‘turmeric marinated black grouper’ with sides of steamed rice, garlic naan, steamed green millet and saag paneer. i somehow managed to find room for their incredible date cake and was very grateful for the mukhwas (an aromatic after-dinner mouth freshener/ digestif consisting of fennel seeds, star anise etc - loved this!) thanks niven for your hospitality and incredible food. it’s not a meal i’ll forget anytime soon😋🙌🏽 #gheeindiankitchen#gheemiami#miami#eatmiami#lovefood#feedfeed#foodies#indianfood#ranchopatel#tuna#dahivada#dosa#tikkamasala#curry#naan#islandepicurean
To end their brunch season on a high note @sevenrcgc at the @ritzcarltongrandcayman hosted a royal wedding brunch. on arrival guests were greeted with a red carpet valet, royal guard photo op and a pimm’s cocktail by @ambalamb6 before moving inside for the main event. •
with decor oozing elegance from crisp white tablecloths, petite floral bouquets, calligraphed seating placements and even a tiered wedding cake, i became quite excited to celebrate prince harry & meghan markle’s big day from across the pond. •
seven is known for being the most luxurious brunch on island and their team did not disappoint by serving up their usual brunch favourites and also a few english classics, including mini beef wellingtons, ham & cheese cornish pasties, bangers & mash, and of course fish and chips with tartar sauce and mushy peas. instead of just serving unlimited moët & chandon (not that anyone would complain about that!) they also served two creative gin cocktails, including one that was tea infused and brought out some beautiful floral notes. •
