Happy 7th birthday to my favorite album of all time. from dark fantasy all the way through lost in the world, this album never ceases to make me laugh, hyped, cry, and every other emotion imaginable. it seems like with every listen i find a new moment where i say “holy shit, that’s phenomenal.” some of my favorite songs ever, gorgeous, so appalled, runaway, and lost in the world, bring this album to the level that it’s at. this is the definition of a 10/10, and one of only 3 that exist in hip-hop history imo. not to mention, this album made me who i am. i would not wear what i wear, talk, act, and even think how i do without this album. -

J. cole appreciation post
people’s opinion’s on jermaine are so strange really. people are all over the place with how they view him, what they love about him, why they hate him and what album they think is his best. and i think it’s so purposeless to hate on this man the way that some do. my thoughts on cole are generally positive. he is a very talented mc, with one of the best flows in the game. his message is very wholesome and real, although he may come off unfocused at times. i don’t think he is a top 10 rapper rn but he could easily be. and that becomes my biggest criticism of cole is how he doesn’t ever fulfill the immense amount of potential that he possesses. not saying that his projects are bad because i really do enjoy his music so much, i just know in the back of my mind that he could do better. his music is very good at making people think on a more mainstream level. he is a good artist and i really don’t find him to be corny. his style seems so genuine and i’d say he’s one of the realest in the game. ( 4yeo is a future classic, get hurt)
