I have been following this maker @black_roc_knives for awhile now. he has a really unique style that i really like. i finally was able to pick up one of his knives recently. it got lost in the mail for a week but it showed up a couple weeks ago. this model is called the skirmish. it is chisel ground which i thought might be interesting for certain bushcraft skills like feather sticks. it definitely makes some nice curls. although i don’t think it was made for bushcraft i am trying it out to see if it can play that role. #blackrocknives#customknives#knivesofinstagram#bushcraft#knifecommunity#knifeskills
Hand cut zoodles - i don’t own a spiralizer. i think about getting one but i don’t want something i’m not sure i’d utilize often 🤷🏻♀️ cutting 3 zucchini this way wasn’t quick but it didn’t take all that long either.
i’m trying to be more mindful. not only in my actions but in what i bring into my home. it’s very easy to want to bring home all the cool gadgets and toys all the time, but is it necessary? for me, this one isn’t necessary right now; under different circumstances it might be a more worthwhile purchase.
#truestory, i have no effing clue what i'm doing most of the time, particularly when it comes to knife skills. and pineapples. especially cutting pineapples. i'm lucky to be alive really. so be honest. should i enroll in fruit ninja college or have i conquered the elusive pineapple mystery?
the parts going in the red bowl are the core and some of the side bits that are a little too woody to chew through but still have enough fleshy pineapple deliciousness to add to a smoothie. but that's just how i do. you could probably blend a toaster in the vitamix and it would still come out delicious.
