recipe- first, take any cookie/biscuit of your choice and crush it. i used mcvities digestive biscuits. second, add little bit of melted butter and milk in the crushed biscuit. mix until it comes together like a dough. third, add half crushed dry fruits in the dough. fourth, split the dough into two, shape it circular and then flatten the dough. then put it in the fridge for one hour. fifth, place one of the flatten base on a plate. then put some jam on the base and spread it. sixth, put the other flatten base on the jam. now it will look like a sandwich. then put some jam on the second base and decorate it with dry fruits and fruits of your choice 💜
for the first layer of jam i used kissan mixed fruit jam and for the second layer i used prasukh fusion jam mango with chia seed.💜

business opportunities are like buses, there’s always another one coming.
where there is a will there is a way. the door isn’t always open, but sometimes it’s ajar or the key is on the floor. all you must do is pick it up and turn the lock. basically, the right environment for success ebbs and flows, but a keen businessperson is never passive.
Rohu fish curry & steamed rice 😋
i said many times earlier, yet again i am telling, i love fish. fish curry is my ultimate go for dish. we bengalis believe that every day is a fish day. we need fish for any occasion, we need fish for any mundane day. we need fish when we are on the top of our health, we need fish when we are down with illness. to cut the long story short, we need fish for life to live. rui mach (rohu fish) is probably the only fish that is available in abundance anywhere in india and my bengali heart thanks the suppliers for that. this is the frequently bought fish in my home and i actually love to cook it in different ways and don’t usually repeat one recipe twice in a month. be it a rich and spicy preparation or a simple runny gravy, rui mach tastes delicious in every way and thus, it is one of the most versatile fish used in bengali non-vegetarian cuisine.
if i am to declare my favourite kind of lentil, it would undoubtedly be ’ moong’! i find it extremely versatile. you can have it as sprouts, make a simple dal out of it, paste it and use in vadas and chilas and pancakes and what not! it never disappoints. so when i was craving some savoury munchies, i thought of making moong dal chips but ended up making these mathris! i know, these look like candies, but then, that’s another one of my weird experiments gone well!
this is a simple 50:50 moong dal and whole wheat spiced dough coloured with beetroot juice. i just applied swirling technique to form a bi-coloured mathri and baked these at 200 degrees for about 15-20 mins. if anyone is willing to learn the swirling technique, do let me know by dm. i’ll share a small video of it then 😊
"i don't start a film with the heroine but with the cinema subject. if there is a woman in the story she has to be of a particular type. it's not as if i start with madhuri dixit and then think what kind of film."

across the world biryani is something which most of the people badly crave for. especially indians. biryani is mainly originated by the mughals of the indian subcontinent. there are wide varieties of biryani and among them dum biryani makes one fall in love with it of the way it is cooked in dum!
murgh dum biryani, the evergreen aromatic dish needs no introduction. in 'dum biryani' , the persian term 'dum' means 'breathing'. the speciality of the dish lies in the way of cooking. the mixture of rice, meat and potatoes with exotic spices is cooked in an earthen p*t and the lid is sealed with dough. the rich flavourful layers of meat and rice is cooked on low flame until the rice becomes mushy and the meat tender & luscious. and thus it is my favourite among all the types of biryani i have ever tasted. it is different from the ordinary biryani as the entire rice, meat & potatoes is cooked by the pressure. hence it is more flavourful but less oily and spicy than ordinary biryani. this rich authentic recipe will surely satisfy your soul from every aspects. you all must try this blissful dish.
"mughals had the luckiest tummies"
p.s: as the recipe of murgh dum biryani is quite comprehensive, i couldn't write it here. it will be posted in my wordpress account next week. stay tuned.
#qotd💭 - can you read only read the same genre books for a whole month 📚??
📚 i personally cant. i need to have a hint of thrillers 🔪, romance❤️ and fantasy 🧙🏻♀️reads along with the other genre books. i cannot read two books of the same genre, one after the other. i also cannot read a whole series at once (exception- harry potter series) 😅. otherwise it gets too repetitive for me!!
📚 i am reading this book “get a life, chloe brown” by talia hibbert for the third prompt of reading romances/contemporary in the #readingblackstories readathon held this month by @book_click_deo@payalzdiaries@book_stormm . ✨
📚 this is a contemporary romance fiction and i am 5% into the book. not much to say because i dont really read the blurb before starting a book. 🤪(yes, i read the blurb when i buy the book and it then stays in my shelf or on my kindle. and then, one fine day, i realize ‘ohh ya!!! i have that book. i had wanted to read that! so, ok, i am going to read it now or this month!!’) yes- thats me!! 🤩
✨ i know that this book is about chloe who now wants to ‘get a life’ after meeting a near death situation (which she has already experienced in the prologue) 🤔. she now wants to enjoy the rest of her being alive. but she cant do all her planned things alone and then enters the hero- ‘red’ morgan. 🥰
🥰 i am really excited to see how it all works out!! i assume there is going to be some smitting love scene between the two!! 🥰🥰 i really need that kinda book now!! after reading ‘on the come up’ by angie thomas and ‘children of blood and bone’ by tomi adeyemi, i want some cheesy romances unfolding in my hands!! 📚
also, already mid-july.✨ i wont ask what plans do you have for the rest of it, coz i know the answers are all same as mine!! read at home!!! 📖🏡
