Day 10 of 11 days of #wildlifedrawings to celebrate my original wildlife drawings currently featured in their first big exhibition together, i will share a photo every day for 11 days and tell you a little something about it. :)
day 10 is a photo of the fisher king: the osprey from my wild thing, i think i love you collection. in september, i visited rspb loch leven a few times to see the ospreys who were there for a few weeks before heading to africa. on one visit, i saw 5 of them! it was a wonderful bird-watching adventure. theirs is a successful re-colonisation story in the uk, a breeding pair having returned in the 1950s to scotland after all the ospreys has been killed in the uk by 1916. it wasn’t without challenges, but thanks to many amazing people protecting them, the ospreys still breed in the uk. :) available from www.carriesanderson.com/shop group exhibition at the image collective, 2nd floor ocean terminal, edinburgh, till 28 december 2017.
