Toasting the end of one chapter and the start of a new exciting one.
after over a decade of working in traditional employment, today i handed back my laptop and said farewell to office life. i’ve had some brilliant experiences in my career so far - learning the ropes at marketing agencies, working for some of the biggest global brands, like disney and hallmark, and managing a totally dreamy team at a tech start up for the last few years.
i’ve learnt loads, met some brilliant people who will be pals for life, and spent so much time on the train up and down to london that the trainguards have started recognising me. but it’s time for a new adventure! from now on i’ll be running my coaching business full time, and i couldn’t be happier about it.
i’m so looking forward to this next chapter. i know that being my own boss will come with its own unique set of challenges, but honestly? i’m so ready for them. my brain is fizzing with ideas and i’ve already got some very exciting plans in the pipeline.
but first? first i’m gonna deal with that small task of turning 30 tomorrow, and celebrating in style with my husband this weekend. no point doing things by halves, right?!

Do they like me? ugh. i used to spend sooo much time pondering this question, and sooo little time asking myself, do i actually like them?
the healthier we get, the less we’re trying to impress, and the more we’re trying to assess the way someone complements our life
if you find yourself performing, over-functioning, and generally just trying super hard to win someone over, stop and ask yourself, do i truly like how this person shows up in the world, and do i truly like who i am + how i feel with this person?
this kind of grounded confidence makes you feel sooo much better, and also signals to to potential friends & partners that you’re a high value person, because you’re acting like you value your dang self

🌔 loneliness: if you ask some of those who are in relationships, for example, that they may not want to be in, why they stay? their response is usually: ‘i can’t be bothered to start again. i can’t be bothered to go through the entire process again and create new routines. i don’t want to be alone, i’m used to her/him’. loneliness—and it’s accompanying fear—often cripples us. traps us. seduces us. this does not concern intimate relationships in isolation - but all of our connections, that no longer serve us. ask yourself the following questions: (a) who was i before this and who will i be after this situation?; (b) what am i afraid of? have i allowed myself to become dependent upon this situation and/or person?; (c)if i close my eyes and imagine severing the ties to this connection, will i be better off psychologically, emotionally, spiritually, soulfully etc.?; (d) what do i need to begin my journey?; (e) how much longer am i willing to betray my own happiness and peace? in closing: as previously stated - we do not get moments of unhappiness back. assess your connections. if the fear of loneliness is all that’s keeping you from reclaiming your inner peace, it isn’t a situation or connection worth your investment. #awakening#consciousness#lifecoach#mentalhealth#selfhealing#quotes#psychology#therapy#trauma#relationships#love#theholisticcoach#reflectreleaserestore

comment préparer votre thé matcha ?
verser une demi cuillère à café de poudre dans un bol
amener 30cl d’eau (ou lait végétal) à ébullition. laisser refroidir à environ 70°. verser l’eau dans le bol. serrez fermement le bol et fouettez rapidement le matcha de haut en bas avec le chasen (fouet matcha en bambou), jusqu’à ce qu’il soit mousseux.

It was time to say good-bye to my vacation and this beautiful home where my family and i stayed over the past few days.
here’s the thing... when it’s time for me to take a trip somewhere, as the time draws closer i sometimes feel unprepared to leave. my mind starts reviewing my to do list and i begin wondering if now’s a good time to travel. do you do this too?
ultimately i’m always happy i took a break. i return home feeling renewed and often with a fresh perspective on things.
fittingly, this was the song (andrea bocelli & sarah brightman, con te partiro [time to say goodbye], with which we started my sister’s birthday celebration this past weekend as she said goodbye to one chapter of her life and hello to new beginnings.

***fear of dying***
since having daisy i have developed a fear of dying.
i fear that i will die and leave her an orphan.
i fear no-one will be able to bring her up in the same way i will (my ego)
i fear that she will be lonely and it breaks my heart to think of that.
this is one of the disadvantages of being a solo parent. there is no other parent to continue with the parenting in your absence.
it makes me super concerned when i'm travelling without daisy. i have a new found fear of flying for this reason.
the thing is when i discussed it with some friends most of them told me they felt the same as they didnt want to leave their child in the sole care of their partner!! 🙈
it seems it is quite a common feeling. i felt better when i realised many people had these thoughts and i wasn't just being totally bonkers!
the main thing that made me feel better was sorting out a plan of what would happen in that worse case scenario. although its obviously far from ideal, it still lessened my worry knowing there is a plan in place. i am still yet to formalize that plan into a will, which i really need to do and keep putting off.

It’s so funny how we sometimes navigate to “routine” instead of what speaks to depths of our soul. i’ve fallen victim to the rigamarole of life and found myself wondering why i was feeling so drained. to my surprise, after assessing things, i wasn’t doing work that spoke to me or brought me light✨to remedy this, i ventured into the “discomfort of my comfort” and intentionally worked on uncovering what brought me joy and kept me grounded. as i uncovered these “joy” i worked on how to incorporate these actions in my daily routine. vision boards and crawling before i walked. it takes time and i’m still learning, but small steps are lapping no steps at all!
think about these questions.... •what actions are you taking to ensure your happiness? •what have you done lately to enhance your quality of life?
