⚡️just a few gym selfies! 😍🍑
i just did cardio and a lot of stretching today, and it felt soooo good! 🙌 i don’t feel bad for skipping leg day, but am actually excited for tomorrow’s session bc i know my body will be ready to smash it out tomorrow! listen to your body! 🙏💞i woke up super fatigued, barely able to wake from my slumber, 😴 so that was my first clue, then i still felt really sore and tight, but still tried to get pumped with a full scoop of preworkout! 😳normally a full scoop gets me super hype...and it didn’t even touch me...clue #3 that i needed to take it easy and let my body fully recover! 👌after my cardio, i focused a lot of my stretching on my hip flexors and hamstrings bc they felt the tightest! 🍗🍑 now it’s time for some grub and work! 😊hope everyone is having a great day and feeling blessed! 💞

I had been feeling very over-scheduled lately, and this weekend my body very clearly told me to slow down. i was sick most of the weekend, and am going to listen to my body and take it easy going into the week, too. our bodies’ abilities to tell us what we need are always just fascinating to me! especially as someone who likes to be busy, it’s so important to remember that some downtime (preferably before it’s forced on me by illness) is important, too. 💜

Who gets excited over a bowl of salad? if you're honest, probably not many of us. but today i had the tastiest salad in a restaurant with healthy f*t - avocado - and scrummy goodness. all 100% clean.
this really made me wonder - why don't i make this much effort to make my food exciting?
if we want to succeed with our goal of healthy eating, and losing weight in the process, we have to try a bit hard to help keep us on track.

i wasn’t getting a pretty picture of this meal but it was pretty delicious. cooked my steak is a super hot pan with butter and seasoned with salt and @traderjoes 21 seasoning salute and whipped up some cauliflower mash. this was not even half the steak! the whole thing took up the entire plate. 🤤 i also have to have a horseradish dill sauce (sour cream, horseradish & dill) for my steaks or roasts. it’s a must. this also probably took 10 minutes to make... maybe 15. it doesn’t have to take forever to throw a quick healthy meal together. much faster than getting in my car and hitting any drive thru!

So grateful for days like today. taught an early morning class then crawled back into bed with the hubby to eat @arizmendilakeshore baked goods. it’s 2pm and i’m just now getting out of bed. i might even take a yoga class before teaching again tonight. #crazysundayafternoon .
