2019's biggest lesson is model successful people. find the people who are doing what you want to do, or are where you want to be and figure out what they did to get there. ✨
if you're lucky, they know the value of what they've learned and they have information available, either free or paid. don't balk at paying to learn, it can save you so much time on your entrepreneurial or business journey.
who are your favourite peeps to learn from?
number 6! this one took a little over a week to get done. the color scheme was difficult because the colors were either grey or brown and it blended together at times. i had to practice a great amount of patience and perseverance. a lot of tedious work but totally worth it and now i have a beautiful scenic picture of the brooklyn bridge!
this is significant for me as i have been giving tons of opportunities in my adult life to walk forward and advance and i chose to walk away. i knew it was there and have done work on it many times before. layers always layers. this time its different as i have believed in the past the core wound started at 13 when s****l trauma came out for me and i was shamed by most of my family, mostly because it was a family member. i did not understand it then and i chose to stay even with an opportunity to leave. (another story another time) tonight when i asked if it started before the age of 5 and heard the events and could see some of them i was a little shocked. i have very little memories before the age of 10 and minimal till the age of 13. this is another deep shadow coming to surface to get cleared. i'm excited to move thru it. #woundedwarrior#livingmybestlife

When your little birthdays are everything, they are exciting, wonderful & literally the best day of the year.
when you become a mother all that changes, your birthdays become days focused on family and children, your everyday responsibilities still exist along with the extra pressure of making sure everything is just right for you and everyone else.
the kids bake a cake filled with smarties and love and leave you with a kitchen filled with edible glitter and dirty dishes.
your birthday dinner is no longer a sexy restaurant for 2, it’s a family friendly bistro with a play room. complete with fighting, arguing and tears over who gets to light the candles.
the expensive jewellery is switched out for home made cards.
when you get divorced, the gift certificate you used to get to the day spa is switched for vouchers for free back scratches.
the parents that once took you out for ice cream for breakfast forget to call, which is understandable now that they are in their 70’s.
it can be tears in the bathroom that you deny to the little people who ask you if you are “ok”
you used to be so excited you couldn’t sleep the night before your birthday, now you take a long nap in the afternoon wishing the day would pass more quickly.
it becomes a chore, a day of stress and seriously lacking of any store bought gifts.
you might even text a friend and tell them “ i hate my birthday “
and it gets you down.
then, you check instagram late in the day and you see your teenager tagged you in her story, for the first time ever.
and everything changes.
i love you kiddo, you mean the world to me, thank you for reminding me, that even though my birthday can be tough and stressful, without you and your brothers and sister my life wouldn’t be complete.
tears, tantrums and all, you are my everything, you guys are everything i wanted for today, it was imperfectly perfect. 💕
