I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume there are a *few* this is us fans out there lol well, let me tell you, the writers and actors portray the struggle of weight loss perfectly. when i first started watching the show, the first or second episode has a scene where kate is trying to lose weight and throws a bunch of junk food in the garbage. she then feels she also needs to throw dog poop on top of the thrown out food to prevent her from eating it, because the fact that it's already in the garbage isn't enough to stop her from digging it back up and binging on it. that got me deep to my core. it's so accurate, it's bone chilling because i've done that. maybe not with dog poop but i've done that. in fact, the way that show depicts the struggle of weight loss is so real and accurate, i often times find myself not wanting to watch it, because of how intensely affected i was by those same demons that plague kate on a daily basis. her struggle, even though the show is fiction, is as real as it gets. --
food and sugar addiction is scary and can be downright debilitating. the thing is, it's possible to tackle that addiction and fight those demons. don't be ashamed or embarrassed by it. don't feel like you're going through it alone. you're not. so many of us have been there and have managed to come out clean, healthy and happy. it's possible it do it without feeling like you're never going to survive. it's possible to do it without feeling that the amount of effort you need to put in is simply impossible. i've lived both sides, i know what it's like. im here to help and support. --
stay healthy, stay happy, stay you 😘
Shrimp scampi was been one of my favorite foods for a long time. it was easy to #ketofy all you have to do is sub traditional pasta for some zoodles. to avoid the sauce getting watered down by the natural moisture in the zucchini, i always cook them for a few minutes in a little bit of oil before incorporating them with the rest of the ingredients.
air fryer wings + salad with homemade caesar dressing. for the wings, i seasoned with roasted garlic and herb seasoning then cooked in air fryer at 380f for 24mins (flip wings half-way through), then crank it up to 400f for an additional 6 mins. no need to coat with any oil and they come out super crispy. tossed in franks red hot sauce at the end. perfection. side note: i had like 6 more wings than pictures here because yolo 🤷🏻♀️
