Small and secluded mountain towns will forever be one of my favorite things on the planet. spent a quiet morning walking around hmong village in the outskirts of chiang mai. the children playing in the garden and the colorful garments of the women were so beautiful. i love how enriching experiencing other cultures has been. even just being a passive observer is life changing.
My favorite part of traveling through asia has been riding on motor bikes everywhere. the long rides in silence, the air rushing through my face, the freedom to stop and go anywhere, the need to be fully present, aware and sharp. i never imagined it but it’s become one of the most peaceful and meditative experiences i’ve had.
all that is in the countryside though. riding in the cities is insane! i still enjoy it but definitely prefer long mountain roads. so much so that i’m pretty sure i’m gonna get one when i get back home. also wanna travel to countries where this is how they roll. any suggestions?
Drove past this pottery maker every day my first week here and was captivated every time. what you don’t see in this picture are the 100+ motorbikes and traffic jam happening while they were working on this road. perfect moment to snap a shot of him. #tmobilepartner#shotoniphone
