Well this is new...xd this is a quick color and light study with markers i did from my bedroom window. something i've noticed is that when it's rainy the greens become almost cyan and more blue-green. it fascinated me, all the colors become cooler and bluer, which prompted to me do a color study. xd lots of blue greens, cyans, and violets. i really wanted to capture that overcast, drizzly feel. i'm actually pretty proud, i didn't sketch anything in advance (in some parts that's obvious lol) and just tried to capture what a saw. it was a bit nerve wracking to just put marker to paper and hope for the best. but it turned out alright and i'm pretty proud. :3 i don't tend to use markers for color studies, but my watercolors are all still on the island so i just used them. xd it's actually a really nice look.
about the rain, so last night we got a bad downpour of rain. 3 homes have been washed away, 2 people have died, all major highways are closed and it's just a disaster. after a wildfire the soil is very loose, with no vegetation to hold the loose sandstone/shale/siltstone hills together rainstorms can cause very severe mud slides and debris flows. tragically that's exactly what happened. the burn scars were inundated with rain and it caused severe mud flows, debris flows and flash floods. im fine, i'll be alright don't worry i'm not near the burn scars. but dang...we just can't win right now. 😕
