These are x-rays of my left ankle, taken today. these screws were put in 10-years ago when i shattered it. really long story short: i’m so mothereffing lucky that i hurt myself close to stanford hospital and that the surgeon put my ankles (yes plural) back together in a way that every doctor since has been super impressed by. so lucky that all i have after the accident i had is 9 screws total (7 in this one, 2 in the other), one metal plate, 4 awesome scars (including a nice 6-inch line down my spine), some slight arthritis and occasional pain. i’m grateful that a broken back led me to #pilates which has changed my life and body in more ways than i can count. #grateful#stanfordhospital#orthopedicsurgery#orthopedics#modernmedicine#classicalpilates#begrateful#begratefulplease
