Just finished watching the new season of chefs table and suddenly felt like drawing one of my sweets and creative hero, christina tosi. i can still remember the moment i stumbled across an episode of mind of a chef 4 years ago featuring her and was immediately blown away by her creations and creative approach to sweets. the very next day i rushed to the school’s bookstore and used up the vouchers which i earned from mentoring students to purchase the milkbar cookbook(i am a pretty frugal person). to this day, the milkbar cook book is still my ultimate baking bible and will continue to look forward to more wacky creations of hers.
it is f*****g delicious, but unsure whether or not it is worth the effort! every bite has a different flavour. it is nice and chewy, definitely hits the 'i need milk' thought afterwards
will try again though! little bit less sugar and i won't crush the chips or pretzels as much.

Spontaneously decided to pop into @momolongplay noodle bar after a year or so of not getting a chance to try it. i grew up with my parents taking me here and their broth is one of the most memorable tastes of all time for me
this chickpea hozon ramen is an extremely different style of ramen than their original momofuku ramen, but it is still extremely tasty. i expected it to be creamier, but the nuttiness and saltiness of the chickpea hozon was great with their thinner soup. also, those noodles are perfectly cooked (toothsome and chewy) even though it seems like so many bowls are being made per minute! lastly, i must say those bing breads that are on their menu are excellent (i tried the one with honey butter)
