Recently i’ve been thinking about what i want to achieve in life. for so long society gave me the next goals i needed to accomplish; finish this class, pass this semester, graduate high school and then graduate college. now that i’ve finished college and began working full time i struggle to set my own goals. i’ve been talking to several others and find that i am not alone. we grow up in a society that is constantly trying to set the next finish line in front of us and if we don’t reach it, we are viewed as failures. i encourage you to begin setting your own goals as early in life as i can. don’t wait for somebody to set a goal for you. set your own bar. chase your own dreams. you’d be surprised what you may be able to achieve when you are working towards your own goal. if you set the bar, you’re not only chasing a goal with information, or out of obligation, but rather passion. true success if found when you’re motivation comes from passion, not obligation.
