And, just like that we are back in the 40s. oklahoma, why you gotta be so rude? it's times like this that i am so thankful for rc. we like to diffuse it and rub it on our chest and back. it's strong enough for james and gentle enough for berkley. i feel like i'm quoting a deodorant commercial now. seriously, every single oil that comes in the starter kit is something that we use on a weekly and sometimes daily basis. it's like the most amazing tool kit ever.
A little peek into my day-to-day. i'm in the design studio today working on last-minute details for a few of my spring brides. side note: did you guys know i'm a floral designer by day and i share about my love of essential oils in my spare time? 🌿⠀
that's one reason i love @younglivingeo so much. if you had told me i'd be selling these oils when i invested in my kit a few months ago, i would have laughed. really, i would've thought you were crazy - like so many, i had a bad taste in my mouth from other network marketing companies who have made me crazy and bugged me to no end in the past. i thought, "i'm a creative, why would i spend my time selling something to people?" ⠀
but, joke's on me! i used young living, i loved young living, i shared about them in an organic way, and guess what? people wanted to learn more! this is almost too easy. ⠀

I'm not always the best at drinking my water for the day 💦 i have found that if i flavor it up a bit i will definitely drink more! i love adding citrus vitality oils to it. here's my current favorite recipe - fill a huge mason jar or stainless steel cup with water, add in a splash of apple cider vinegar and 1-3 drops of lime vitality. so good!
I've noticed that after telling everyone i have a goal to lose a few pounds, i've been surprised by a few things. first, you guys are amazing and supportive. i'm grateful for you all! so thank you, thank you! 😘 second, i'm definitely eating healthier today knowing that you guys are rooting for me! i guess there really is something about "support groups" that keep you focused on sticking with your goals. perhaps an idea for me to work on to see how i can better help others achieve their health goals.
so let's get to it... we had a delicious green smoothie for lunch today! with two kiddos i'm still adjusting and figuring out my schedule and i'm all about quick meals...so smoothies are a favorite around here, especially in the warmer months. ☀️ ingredients:
2 cups unsweetened almond milk
1 ripe banana
1 tablespoon moringa powder
1 tablespoon raw honey (or maple syrup or a few drops liquid stevia if vegan)
i usually add fresh or frozen kale to make my smoothies to make them green, but i am really loving moringa! not only is it easy to blend in a smoothie, but it also has almost a sweetness to it. trust me, it's still very much green, but not horrible tasting either. moringa contains amino acids, vitamin a, calcium, potassium, & magnesium. no wonder moringa is the new "it" food for 2017! 🤗
also, what you see pictured here is exactly what my 4 year old just ate...and she asked for more. i guess you can say that this smoothie is deceptively delicious! 😋
