Weezer have been on a hot streak the last few years. their two records before pacific daydream were some of the best received in their career and were seen as a return to form. pacific daydream is their latest album and their third release in four years. each single had people more dissappointed it seemed but i don't think anyone should be surprised that weezer put out another solid album of straightforward power pop. feels like summer has grown on me a lot since its release. at first listen it sounds like rivers cuomo just wanted to write another pop song about summer, but a look at the lyrics reveals a heavier song beneath. on an unrelated note, the delivery of the first line of the chorus reminds me a lot of heavy by linkin park. beach boys is the weirdest song on the album, but it's oddly catchy and the song i come back to most. mexican fender is the perfect opener for a summer album, which of course didn't get released until october, but that's weezer for you. i'd rank pacific daydream somewhere in the middle of their discography. rivers knows how to write a hook and the album is full of them. it never overstays its welcome and has a lot more heart behind it than some of the stuff they churned out in the '00s. this is the pink blob variant limited to 1000 copies.
George michael'ın 1990 tarihli listen without prejudice albümü geçtiğimiz ay remastered olarak tekrar yayınlanmış ve bu versiyon, uzun süre telif hakları sebebiyle yayınlanmamış mtv unplugged versiyonunu da içeriyor. dinlediğim en iyi unplugged kayıtlardan birisi diyebilirim. tavsiye ederim. #georgemichael#freedom#unplugged#mtv#90s#nowspinning#sansui
