These two divers found a pyrosome aka sea pickles 🌊 🐛 measuring more than 26 feet long and made up of hundreds of thousands of organisms! 😱!
pyrosomes, genus pyrosoma, are free-floating colonial tunicates that live usually in the upper layers of the open ocean in warm seas, although some may be found at greater depths. pyrosomes are cylindrical or cone-shaped colonies made up of hundreds to thousands of individuals, known as zooids.

The #orca swim team travelled to #hanoi to compete in the #unis international swim meet with 300 swimmers from throughout #vietnam, #singapore and #japan. the team had a highly successful weekend with 56 personal best swims, 8 gold medals, 12 silvers, 7 bronzes, 40 top 6 finishes and four swimmers placing in the top 3 overall in their age groups. despite having a small team, the boys’ 8 and under and girls’ 10-11 age groups finished second overall. the success of the meet was topped off by the team winning the highest points average trophy for the most effective team. the swimmers were a credit to themselves, eis and their families. well done on a great weekend of racing!
