“the very heart of yoga practice is abhyasa - steady effort in the direction you want to go.” sally kempton
have you tried power yoga?
monday morning 7:15-8:15am
tuesdays lunchtime 1:30-2:15pm
friday morning 7-8am
sunday evening 6-7pm
a student says: what a great work-out. full use of the breath combined with a challenging flow. the arm work felt hard to start with but it gets easier and easier as you go on and i was soon hooked by the energy.
Pilates 7-8am monday mornings 🙂
“you are only as young as your spine is flexible.” joseph pilates
pilates uses detailed movement and small equipment to work on particular muscles. it helps strengthen your core. many different exercises target muscles all over your body and it’s not like yoga except in terms of the shared principle - breath! you learn how to cure aches and pains while developing a better posture and it is very helpful for back pains, older injuries and stress.
a student says: the first time - what was that all about? stretchy straps? balls? the more i did, the more i grew to like and respect it. you discover the pleasure of attaining small goals and laughing on the way there.

you do not have to walk on your knees
