Taking suggestions for palm springs! anything we must see or do?
i answered all these questions this last week.
1. we took a trip to disneyland.
2. it was in the middle of the week.
3. there was no financial concern around taking this trip or during it.
4. we disconnected from the online realm.
5. our family spent quality time together, filled with smiles and laughter.
what is important to me. my family and spending time with my boys.
balance to me is having the best of all my worlds, business and personal.
my ideal life is working where the wifi takes me, being with my family, having finance security, and not answering to an office.
i took a leap almost 3 years ago. it paid off, it's given me all the desires and wishes i had.
i honestly didn't think this kind of balance was achievable. i had thought about it many times, knowing there was a way to have my ideal professional satisfaction and be present with my family.
i knew it was out there, i felt it - in my bones.
now 👏 i 👏 have 👏 it 👏 !!!
don't let your desires / goals diminish. continue with them. work on them, daily. remember you are only limited to what you decide.

i spent the last two days photographing this gorgeous beauty all over palm springs and what a fun adventure! countless laughs, billions of outfits, hundreds of miles! i’ve known @gracie.johnson02 since she was about six years old when her mom hired me to photograph her maternity session of her baby girl number six (baby girl #4). over the years that baby number 6 has become best friends with my youngest and we’ve had countless laughs and cries and spent so many years together! i think we still would’ve become great friends had we not done that shoot together but i love that i’ve formed such an amazing friendship with this family that started out as clients- they truly are now just like family!
gracie...it was an absolute pleasure to photograph you and i love the young woman you’re turning into! you’re kind, beautiful, and you do so much for others! you’re a beautiful soul and please don’t ever change! i adore you! 💕
peonies are one of the best-known and most dearly loved perennials. this is hardly surprising considering their sumptuous beauty and fragrance, trouble-free nature and longevity. peonies also thrive almost anywhere in the country. many varieties can even survive a zone 2 winter (that's a low of -50 degrees f). if a peony is well situated and happy, it may bloom for 100 years or more with little or no attention. this means it's worth spending some time up front, choosing the right planting location and preparing the soil. and like all plants, peonies will be healthier, more vigorous and more floriferous if they have ideal growing conditions.
peonies prefer a sunny location with well-drained soil. good air circulation around the plant is also important. to prepare the planting hole for a bareroot peony, dig the soil to a depth of 12-18". use a garden fork to loosen the sides of the planting hole as well. add a shovelful of compost and a handful of all-purpose, organic, granular, fertilizer to the bottom of the hole and then add a shovelful of the original soil. build up a "cone" of this amended soil inside the planting hole and then position the peony root on top of the cone with its roots hanging down the sides. it is very important that the "eyes", or growth nodes, located near the base of the old stem, end up no more than 2" below the soil surface. if the peony root is positioned deeper than this, the plant may grow well, but it will produce few if any blooms. container-grown plants can be planted similarly. just dig a hole that's twice as wide as the root ball but no deeper. amend the soil as above. when planting, make sure the soil surface in the p*t is at grade when the new plant is in the ground.
these beauties are available and are in the season to be planted. nows the time! here are the varieties that’s we have.
