While touring southern oregon with @chefboulot last month, he invited me to experience lobster month at the @multnomahathleticclub. executive sous chef philip oswalt greeted my dear friend @jaimiwrites, her sweet mom and me and honored us with a tour of the mac and then a tour de lobster that was above and beyond. delicious, in its simple form, but then served with oysters, fried with salt and pepper, in risotto and more. the cocktails and the 30 year port were absolutely wonderful. what a treat. we didn't want to leave, and were the last to do so. so warm and welcoming, with 27 year server carlo taking fantastic care of us. i asked esc phil to come on @foodpodcastpdx next week. stay tuned. he's got stories. #pdxeats#pdxchefs
I was flying high in 2013. this is from 7x7 magazine prior to the three star review from @michaelbauer1 from the @sfchronicle at @padrecitosf. it became two three star reviews from @sfchronicle and a bib gourmand from @michelinguide in a two year span. running two high end mexican restaurants in san francisco was not easy. pressure mounted in a small period of time. it's time to revisit @chelopdx pop ups again if time permits. have to work on those details, bro! tighten everything and regain creativity.
