this is why it is essential to build control and strength with pull-up progressions, because the fundamentals never get old!

1️⃣negative pull ups are an excellent progression to build eccentric strength (control) for pull ups. you can jump up to the start position, or have a friend boost you up and control the negative to the bottom for 2-3 seconds 💪🏼

2️⃣band pull ups, start performing full reps with a heavy band and progress to a lighter band as you get stronger 💪🏼

3️⃣inverted rows are great for strengthening your upper and middle back that will help with the pull up -

4️⃣scap ups are amazing for strength and control. hang from a bar with your arms locked out and bring your scapula back and down.

5️⃣lat pulldown (any grip) is a great movement to replicate scapular movements of pull ups while working the same muscles 💪🏼
