I think i make my best art when i can make it up as i go, not plan things too much and just go with the flow, a lot like how i try to live my life each day. no stress, just doing what i love and trusting that things will turn out just how i want them to.... for this board i was told to ‘do whatever you want, anything at all’ so here’s some progress. i’ll post the finished board once it’s ready, but for now i’ll leave you with this guy 🦅✍🏾 this board is travelling over to texas once it’s finished 🇺🇸 what do you guys think so far?
I often get questions about what materials i use, so here is a little material list. * firstly i use alcohol based inks - copic inks have a very beautiful color range and alcohol inks are great on yupo paper. * isopropyl alcohol is also a very important part of working with alcohol based inks and allows you to work with the inks for longer before they dry on the paper.
* i often use a pipette to add drops of alcohol on to the yupo paper.
* last but not least, i use a white posca pen to add lines of flowers or corals on the dried ink.
in the spirit of all things crafty at easter time, i propose an easter egg competition.🐣🐣

📷: @ricardocavolo
Missed yesterday's #marchmeethemaker so i'm breaking the rules and merging it with today's, as the two are one and the same thing for me! i #cantlivewithout my #tools! i need a hell of a lot of drawing tools to fuel my daily habit and i get through an insane (and expensive) amount of poscas and tombows every month! if only i used pencils things would be far cheaper: but i love going straight in there with the black lines and just seeing where things go. i rarely plan what i'm going to draw, just pick a subject matter (or image from vogue.com!) and get sketching! i only use pencils when i'm feeling the fear or trying to work on a specific brief, but much prefer to take a bold approach: drawing confidently and freely, without re-drawing or rubbing things out. try it! 😃✏️👍#artsupplies#poscas#poscapens#musthaves#artmaterials#dailydrawing#drawdaily#sketchbook#sketching#sketchlife#makersgonnamake#artistlife#drawdrawdraw
