One of the most iconic sporting mavericks of all time. muhammad ali, (cassius clay) was one of the first to discover the power of a personal brand, his belief in himself was matched only by his ferocity in the ring. by harnessing the power of a poet, he redefined the stereotype of boxing and changed the face of boxing forever. highly political; ali was stripped of his heavyweight crown in 1967 for refusing military induction during the vietnam war.
inspired by ali on ‘self-belief’ - "imma show you, how great i am.“
🔶the fibonacci grid system of the fifth layout in the third week of the typography course from @thefuturishere. i used helvetica neue bold, 8/64pt-size.
🔴 josef muller-brockmann is great! i was wondering how much i can increase the size of the title, and still preserve its legibility. 64 pt-size seems to look the best in this case. i tried 128, but "journal" would no longer fit the page. as you can see, i've no longer used that overlapping trick, because it's something that would work only in specific situations. as i try to explore more, i got back to the basics a bit. :d
🔶 what do you guys think? i warmly encourage any constructive feedback! cheers! 🤗
