Cabo and i ran our first triple yesterday!!! okay let’s be honest, my first triple... cabo’s skills > my skills 😂 he makes me look good. honestly tho, i would say we did pretty good for our first time. if you have the sound on you’ll hear our trainer (and i say our because i swear getting a dog trained is more about getting yourself trained) telling me what i’m doing wrong, like putting my hand on the bridge of his nose to guide him. every time i see cabo i am more and more amazed by his natural talent, his sunny disposition, and how much he freaking loves me. this little wild child is a blessing y’all.
This is what success looks like after trying 3,000 times and wakesurfing for 36 minutes straight... i finally got my 360🎉🤗
I was interviewed yesterday about my next women’s adventure getaway in january and they asked me where they can go to find a network of women who love the outdoors. it reminded me to tell y’all about my secret facebook group for women who want to share their love of adventure whether it’s hunting, hiking, gardening, cooking and so much more. there’s nothing more important in life than finding your tribe that can support you, laugh with you and cheer you on, don’t you think? you can access the group through my facebook page, link is in my bio ☝🏽
Cabo can’t look normal in a picture to save his life but this morning we ran a t drill in the water and some true blind retrieves. this was the first time i got to see him tread water and the first time i got to handle him on a blind and i was so pumped on how well he did. 🐶 thanks, as always, to @ntdt_llc for how much work you put in with him.
Meat eater!!! if you think this is graphic then check out a slaughterhouse. being an informed meat eater is so so important. anyone know what phenylbutazone is??? maybe ketamine??? chloamphenicol???? well guess what it is showing up in the usda tested meat supply. take it upon yourself to get informed rather then harass a hunter for providing clean organic meat for their family #meateater#organicmeat#eatwhatyoureap#eatwithawareness#ieatelk#proudtohunt#provider#drugsinmeat
i grew up in the country and my grandpa talked about the days he used to hunt but i didn’t start hunting until i started dating my husband about 7 years ago. i hate mosquitoes. i’m afraid of snakes. i had only shot a gun about 3 times in my life. but he asked me to go and i’ll try anything once, also i’m a loving wife so anytime he asks me to do anything i tag along just to hangout with him. well little did i know that spending time in the tops of trees would be just what the dr ordered. i sometimes suffer from debilitating anxiety. i sometimes battle depression, keeping it just outside my doorstep. but when i am alone... (relatively speaking cause those dang squirrels 🐿 never leave me alone). but when i still away to the peace and sounds that nature brings... it changes me. it’s not always about hunting but i sure don’t mind a freezer full of organic grown meat. this picture is from last year but i can’t wait to get out there again. 🌲🍃🍂🦌🐗🦃 #fieldtotable#proudtohunt#womenhunttoo#whatgetsyououtdoors#hunting#deerhunting#huntress#rugeramerican#southerndrawloutdoors#hunttoeat#timbertotable#fieldtofork@georgiawildlife @georgiaoutdoorswoman @reelcamogirl
This is something i feel very strongly about. i am proud that my kids know exactly where their meat comes from. people have grown detached from their food because they have no part in the process at all, some faceless, nameless person did the dirty work for them and what they see presented packaged in plastic is a million miles away from where their meal actually comes from. well i know exactly where this deer lived, i know what it was eating when it died. this deer never saw the inside of a cage, it lived a 100% natural and happy life. it’s sad and frankly strange in my opinion that hunters are frowned upon for harvesting their meat the correct way, and not relying on factory farming. i genuinely feel that i have a deep respect for the animal that is on my plate as a result of knowing how it lived and how it died, and i want my children to feel the same way.
