they think you go from an addict and overweight to the “best shape of your life” and everything all of the sudden makes sense and comes easy...
that’s so far from the truth and never do i want to portray that i have the secret. not to those reading this, not to clients who are currently fighting for lifestyle change, not to anyone...
have i found freedom through optimal health?
have i solidified lifestyle change? yes.
do i believe that i have uncovered some incredible principals that i want to pass on, allowing others to experience that same freedom that optimal health can bring?
without a doubt.
but just know i too, am fighting for progression with self esteem and with poor choices sometimes just as bad as the former 356lb individual i once was.
i share all of this to make this point:

❌: do not round your back! make sure your legs aren’t too wide out and that you’re not thrusting at the end of the exercise (this can cause major injury). do not keep your head down and your grip should not be too wide out. ———————————————
✅: keep your core tight and head up. your feet should be spaced hip-width apart, using an overhand grip. your back should be flat—neutral spine—from start to finish. bar is in contact with legs throughout the whole motion! pull the bar to your mid-thighs and lock your hips and knees. return the weight to the floor by moving your hips back while bending your legs.
get your form right before increasing in weights! 🏋🏻♀️🏋🏻♂️
