so i saw that @mandyliciouschallah started following me, so i did a little stalking. wow. i need to up my game!
this was something i called baklachallah. challah stuffed with #baklava filling- walnuts, honey, and cinnamon.
yes, it was as good as it sounds.

the closer we get to moving day, the more i’m realizing just how fortunate i’ve been to have called columbus home for the past 3 years. today, kyle and i spent the day gallivanting around the city, taking in all of our favorite sights (and, of course, foods) one last time. we kicked things off with donuts and waffle sandwiches at the @northmarket 🍩 followed by a coffee-fueled stroll around the short north β˜•οΈ ice cream at @jenisicecreams 🍦 and a visit to the @columbus_zoo 🐯

It seems i have a “usual” even when i travel! 😜 every time i go to florida to visit with the family we go to the same place on sunday for lunch.😍 i have the tuscan salad that comes with beans, avocado, feta, tomato - add egg for extra protein and red onion, just because! πŸ˜‹ lime vinaigrette on the side - of course! πŸ€—#creatureofhabit .

Visited the @ sierranevada brewing co in mills river, nc.🍺 so impressed w/their environmental sustainability efforts.🌏 enjoyed seeing their gardens ... they’re certified bee friendly!🐝 i’m not a beer drinker, but i was more than happy to partake in this dessert while there ... goat cheese mousse made w/strawberries, farm goat cheese, basil gel, strawberry water & lemon-black pepper scone!πŸ“ totally didn’t expect to have such good food @ a brewery!πŸ˜‹

I couldn't convince anyone to share a dragon fruit with me so i ended up eating a whole one myself πŸ˜‚. dragon fruits belong in the cactus family and comes in pink or yellow and can have white or red flesh and lots of seeds. the yellow dragon fruit is great for satisfying that sweet craving but can be so expensive 😣.

fun fact: did you know dragon fruits grow on a cactus that only blooms for one night per fruit cycle? - it wilts the next day! 🌡

1 (100g) yellow dragonfruit = 11g carbs
.
be careful not to eat too much at once though as dragon fruit is pretty decent in fiber and also has a lot of seeds…or you may end up suffering in the🚽
