seven perfect days. then he disappeared. a love story with a secret at its heart.
when sarah meets eddie, they connect instantly and fall in love. to sarah, it seems as though her life has finally begun. and it's mutual: it's as though eddie has been waiting for her, too. sarah has never been so certain of anything. so when eddie leaves for a long-booked vacation and promises to call from the airport, she has no cause to doubt him. but he doesn't call.
sarah's friends tell her to forget about him, but she can't. she knows something's happened--there must be an explanation.
minutes, days, weeks go by as sarah becomes increasingly worried. but then she discovers she's right. there is a reason for eddie's disappearance, and it's the one thing they didn't share with each other: the truth.
Finished reading cress by marissa meyer. this is one of the books i read while traveling in ca, so i'm just getting the post up now. great continuation of a really fun story! love how she takes secondary characters and makes them the main focus.
qotd: which series do you enjoy reading multiple times?
(review) unsub by meg gardiner 🌟🌟/5
a serial killer is once again terrorizing the bay area and it is up to young detective caitlin hendrix to catch him.
i am well aware that there is a huge audience for this series, but for me the book was more of a quick read that i didn’t grow too attached to. the plot was quick and the characters like able, but i didn’t feel any of the tension i look for in a thriller. i like my thrillers to be scary and keep me on edge, unsub was more of an entertaining crime novel with brief moments of suspense. my favorite part was the cliff hanger created in the last 20 pages to set the author up for the next book. maybe the sequel is more suspenseful? if you’ve read it let me know if it’s worth a read!
