You may have noticed that some of your cards have arrived wrapped in newspaper lately... as an environmentally conscious business we are always looking for ways to minimise our carbon footprint.
while bubble wrap is super convenient, we hear that the majority of it is made from polyethylene, one of the most common types of plastic. we also hear that some plastics can take more than 450 years to decompose, so moving forward we won't be using bubble wrap to protect your greeting cards.
we will be recycling newspapers instead. we know it may look a little shabby to some.. but we firmly believe it’s what’s inside that counts! plus who doesn’t love a bit of byron bay news? 🌈♻️✌🏻
#ecobricks in full production! we’re collecting trash and filling plastic bottles to build a dive center! it’s a long road ahead, but keeping trash out of the ocean is worth it. remember that stopping plastic use at the source is much more effective. how are you spending ♻️ #plasticfreejuly?
