We live in a world that profits off of self doubt and insecurity. many times we are paying for our own self sabotage. the truth is- if you are chasing society’s ideals and expectations of you, you will never succeed, never feel good enough. how do we develop practices and habits that counter this societal force? how do you feed your soul in a society that wants to destroy your physical? these expectations will have you walking with your head down, afraid of your own beauty. but what happens when you look up? there is light. that light is you. #poet#poetry#thought#selflove#soul

what the hell can i do about it?
1. submit a letter to the editor of your local newspaper(s) supporting the esa. members of congress are particularly responsive to letters in their constituents’ local papers.
2. call your senators and representative and ask them not to weaken protections for america’s most at-risk animals.
3. move from online activist to offline action taker. sign up as a state species guardian.
4. learn more about advocating for endangered species. go to endangered.org for downloadable materials you can share with decision makers to help educate them on the need to protect endangered species and the endangered species act.
