Well, it’s time to go back to london. i could spend quite a bit of time talking about #kefalonia and it’s amazing places and food, but i believe it’s much better if you sit on a plane ✈️ and see it for yourself. instead, i’d like to share 3 comments of relevant moments i had there:
1. the spaghetti you see in the pic are with dattylos, in italy we call them sea dates because they recall the shape of dates. they are illegal in italy because in order to collect them you have to destroy the rocks in the sea that contain them. i was not aware of what i was ordering as the restaurant described them as “local shellfish”. i felt guilty when i saw them🙈...but they were incredibly good, a firm texture and an intense flavour.
2. the locals make a unique wine that you will drink only here called #retsina which is a white wine base, usually rabola or assyrtico, mixed with pine 🌲 resin🤔 i don’t know the story behind but if you try it make sure you choose a high end one otherwise it’s like snogging a washing machine 😂#soaptastesgross
3. the sea is very clear and rich of creatures like the turtle in the video...too bad that i saw that turtle 🐢 swallowing a lighter from the surface of the water. please respect our oceans or we won’t have one soon👊🏻 #foodie#foodblogger#foodporn#foodgasm#foodphoto#foodstagram#holiday#seafood#pasta#delicious#wine#tasty#eeeeeats#greece#travel#nature#seaworld#seaturtle#respect#respectnature #nofilter#london
