What a night!! i want to thank everyone who came out, as well as everyone who has supported me and cheered for me, even if you couldn't make it to the event! that was such a blast, performing has always been a thrill, but today was a special day for me, and the first of hopefully many more performances like this! i'm glad i got to work on such a wonderful program, and i'm excited to see what comes next in my musical journey!!
“if we were all determined to play the first violin we should never have an ensemble, therefore, respect every musician in his proper place.” - robert schumann. a big part of my journey has been, and continues to be, learning to respect the room for improvement in these videos. when i notice in hindsight that i’ve played a piece too loudly and with too much pedal, or too slowly and overly sentimental, it is easy to be h*****n myself. increasingly, though, these days i have more and more moments where i can reflect back on the mistakes and not only respect them, but love them as well. op 15-3 “blind man’s bluff” robert schumann #piano#schumann#practice
