We love a good soap over here at turtle straws. shampoo bars, body soap, and conditioner bars are a fabulous alternative to liquid products that come in plastic bottles. another benefit you may ask? soap bars tend to be made with more natural ingredients and less chemicals. did you know that liquid products are comprised of 60-80% water so switching to a product in bar form can also help save water for the environment. in addition to using less water, soap bars are typically packaged #plasticfree. what's not to love about that! don't be discouraged if you try out a shampoo or conditioner bar and aren't in love at first. it took me awhile to find a product that worked best with my hair. i'm currently in love with this new shampoo bar i've been trying out (top) that i discovered from a local soap maker, but i'm still trying to figure out the best way to use the conditioner bar (bottom), suggestions anyone? 💚

500 million straws are used by north americans daily (that’s enough to circle the earth 2.5 times!); it takes up to 200 years for a plastic straw to decompose and they cannot be recycled most places. plastic straws are the 11th most found trash in our oceans. each year 1 million seabirds and 100,000 marine animals die from ingesting plastic. starbucks now offers a recyclable adult sippy-lid. help gateway & starbucks go strawless by 2020! do your part. learn more at conservation.org 🌍🌿🌊💞 #starbuckscanada#starbucks#conservation#ocean#skipthestraw#coffee#recycle#environment

the real monsters in the ocean are man made! ban the bag! if you spend time on and in the ocean, you've definitely found plastic bags floating or stuck on the coral. they are deadly for marine life! one easy swap you can make is to use canvas/reusable bags. it's easy and makes a difference. let's #banthebag and keep our oceans clean. have you found plastic bags floating? snap a pic and tag us for a chance to be featured.
