2️⃣step 2. say which side of the clock the long hand is pointing to (minutes past, or minutes to)
3️⃣step 3. read the number at the end of the short hand
How is this month coming to an end?! it has been a whirlwind! actually, this entire school year has flashed before my eyes. as hectic as life can be, i try my best to reflect on the events (👍🏽and 👎🏽) that happened throughout the year. thinking back, i am shocked that i didn’t throw in the towel at times. i definitely wanted to give up when the obstacles in life got a little too overwhelming but i am so happy that i didn’t! teaching is tough but each day i learn something new and grow from the experience. i truly believe my husband, family, friends, colleagues, classmates, and students play a huge role in my achievement. you’ve all made the journey much more memorable. you support my dreams. reassure me on my worst days. make me laugh when life’s getting too serious. help me before i can even ask for help. the list goes on! you all just know how to be there and i’m so lucky to have such loving (and sometimes crazy😜) people in my life. all of you make me feel like a true mvp. best birthday gift is all of you! “promise everything gon’ be alright” 🎶pineapple skies- miguel🎶
Gross motor skills training:
by breaking down big complex tasks into small teachable units (task analysis), this kiddo with deficits in motor skills due to disability, was able to learn how to ride his bike. understanding prompt levels and setting appropriate criteria is crucial for therapist looking to promote mastery of complex tasks.

(my yearbook message to key-key.) i think teaching key-key is the best i’ve ever done in my career. i was a wolverine for her family, and i put my whole heart into making sure they were taken care of. i’m so lucky i got to be key-key’s teacher because i grew so much during my time with her.
being a special education teacher isn’t about dealing with disabilities. it’s about taking care of families, it’s about not being afraid to get in the ring to fight for them. and, i t’s about being there to make the magic happen for their sons and daughters. #specialeducation
really wish i had my hands on the out of sync child five years ago when my son had so many sensory processing problems, his whole body was scrambled. the information on tactile receptors alone is eye opening. executive dysfunction is our current hurdle. i highly recommend both of these books to parents and educators of children with special needs.
