This years annual animal rights march in london ✊🏽🗣🔉 10,000 likeminded people marched on behalf of the 56 billion land animals that are killed each year.
their deaths only happen thanks to our social conditioning that makes us believe it is ok to feast on their flesh and drink their b****t milk, when most of us haven’t ever seen how our ‘food’ is produced 🤷🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
this amazing human @seb.alex recently got the opportunity to got to a slaughterhouse in bali to document exactly what happens there for their bodies to get to our supermarkets/plates.
seb made friends with the cows (big puppies!!) giving them much needed love and comfort whilst they where being held in the holding pens before going onto the k**l floor... he then got access inside the slaughterhouse, to document what happens to them... 😔💔
needless to say, if you are reading this and are feeling very unsettled and/or uncomfortable by that idea, yet still eat meat, eggs or dairy, you owe it to yourself and to the animals to see what you are paying to have done to them.
watch seb’s footage and meet your meat, either on his youtube or instagram story highlights. the problem is not how we do it, it is that we do it.
the consumer is not exempt from blame in what happens to these animals, it is simple supply and demand. that’s why everyone at the animal rights march, along with millions of other compassionate people, have chosen to live vegan. once we know better, we must do better.
i’m so glad be fighting alongside so many amazing activists. thank you seb for going into that hellhole and documenting it. thank you to each and every person who is doing what is right and shining a light in the darkest of places 💚✊🏽 #unitleverycageisempty#compassionoverculture#youbuytheydie
Diva alert! it was pouring this morning and that doesn't seem to phase the other pigs when it's food time but miss p. was having none of it! i have never heard a pig protest so much at their shelter door because they didn't want to go in the rain.....needless to say she received breakfast in bed.
That's a cow. it's actually a truck full of cows, covered in their own waste. canada allows cows to be transported for up to 52 hours without food or water. this is in toronto, it's local. your 'food' had a face. your 'food' was someone, not something. it's not about the conditions though. no matter how well an animal is treated, they all end up getting a knife across the throat. as consumers, we can stop this. the power is in our hands. don't support violence, be vegan.
is a 5 minute meal worth more than the entire existence of an animal? we can get all the nutrients we need from a plant-based diet. so, why support these industries that exploit, abuse, and k**l innocent beings? maybe you didn't know. but now that you do, can you think of a good reason for continuing to pay for their deaths?
Social justice #warrior but not an ethical #vegan? 😬 that won’t work, because for every farmed animal we repress, we maintain the #colonizer energy inside of us. 💔💔💔💔💔 you see, we have colonized farm animals beyond comprehension, because our own minds are colonized by the apathy and #ignorance required to participate with #animalagriculture. 😭 you can read about the origins of #slavery, #war, #classism, and #sexism born of the #herdingmentality in the #worldpeacediet by dr. #willtuttle. 🤯 #ethicalveganism can help us all to fundamentally destabilize this root cause of our oppressive and violent culture by addressing the seed source of our domineering superiority complex called #speciesism. 🐥 we can resist it! we can change! ✊🏽🌱 through #veganism, we can activate voluntary #simplicity and #cooperation, stand in #solidarity with the most #marginalized and oppressed beings on the #planet three times a day, and #dismantle “the war machine” we have become. 💣 of course not every human currently has access to fair- trade sustainably-sourced plant-based whole foods, but the inequality gap for humanity will only become greater if we don’t at least acknowledge the end of our corrupt enslavement and genocide of nonhumans as a goal. 🌎 #awakening#justice#freedom#intersectionality#realization#yoga#ahimsa#decolonize#namaste 🥬
You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. you are able to say to yourself, 'i lived through this horror. i can take the next thing that comes along.
