Tony clevenger on a black bear research project in the smoky mountains, over 30 years ago. “after putting mom ‘to sleep,’ we discovered she had 3 beautiful cubs that were about a month old. we worked fast. we delicately placed them one by one on my jacket — using it as ground cover and blanket.”

I'm back after my unexpected appendix surgery 💊💉. just right after i started climbing again and gaining back my strength i admitted to the er to have my appendix removed.
had to stay away from #climbing 🧗or any intense physical activity for about 2 months😔
it was really hard to be away from my second home, @urbanclimb sounds weird 😄 but i even missed the smell of chalk in the air 🙃, even wearing my @prana pants and my @lasportivana shoes
now i'm back again on the wall ☺, climbing easy routes and slowly but surely progressing. although i've lost all my calluses and a lot of my muscles and core strength i have more determination than ever to hit and surpass my personal best and compete in state and national titles this year 🧗. also, this year is going to be the first year that i will register for boulderfest 💪
watch this space as i will post more often and keep you updated with my progress.😉
Got out of the city with @taylormichaelburk on a whim for what was probably the last last climb of the season. cold rocks made for numb hands, but i was really happy with the new featherless jacket from @marmot . they’re made from recycled materials and stay warm when wet, perfect for belaying #nobadweather#ad
